An Honest Conversation on Entrepreneurship & Motherhood with Byrdie Lifson-Pompan

In this episode, I am joined by Byrdie Lifson-Pompan, a seasoned professional with a rich background in client service and advocacy. Byrdie spent two decades at the Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where she earned her stripes as one of the first female partners, representing renowned screenwriters and directors, including Academy Award winners. In a bold pivot, Byrdie transitioned from the glitz of Hollywood to the heart of healthcare. Fueled by a personal quest for improved patient experiences, she co-founded Clear Health Advisors in 2013 alongside Dr. Valerie Ulene. Byrdie is also the creator of Boom Home Medical. She reinvented home medical products for toileting, bathing, dressing, and mobility. Byrdie holds a BA in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She further honed her skills, earning a Masters in Healthcare Leadership from Brown University in May 2016.   Our conversation dives into the emotional aspects of transitioning careers, and the support roles that friends and family play. Byrdie shares her experiences, and challenges, offering insights into leadership, identity shifts, and overcoming the fear of failure. In this episode, we’re discussing: The emotional challenges of transitioning from a successful career to entrepreneurship and the fear of failure. The importance of a support system.  The importance of understanding one's identity beyond professional roles and titles. Finding the right business partner. Byrdie's perspective on working throughout her life, emphasizing the importance of having something personal outside of motherhood. Advice for young mothers. Reflection on the challenges of finding balance as a working mom. Byrdie's advice for entrepreneurs. The value of attending networking events, conferences, and even free events to connect with other founders. Cold outreach strategy: reaching out to people, discussing them, and building relationships before selling. The mindset of "What would Tony do?" The emotional challenge of letting go of activities that were once part of one's identity. The significance of small, achievable goals over grand New Year's resolutions. The concept of intuitive scheduling.   Connect with Byrdie on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/byrdielifsonpompan/    Boom Home Medical (The Loona): https://boomhomemedical.com/    Clear Health Advisors: https://clearhealthadvisors.com/   Connect with me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/abcoached/   Visit my website: www.abcoached.com   Disclaimer: The views, information, or opinions expressed during the Leading Empowered Podcast are solely those of the individuals involved and do not necessarily represent those of The A.B Method, LLC and its employees. Entrepreneurship, Motherhood, and Manifestation with Tia Bhuva

In this episode, I’m joined by one of my dear private clients and friends, Tia Bhuva, as we dive into all things leadership, entrepreneurship, and more. Tia is the founder of tiabhuva.com, the home of the original “Saree Silhouette”. She is a wife, mom of (almost) 3, and an inspiring entrepreneur. She got her start in the Walmart buying office before shifting into entrepreneurship and starting her own company, growing her Instagram following to nearly 900k+. She has revolutionized the saree and South Asian fashion.   3 years ago when we started our work together, Tia had just made the decision to go full-time as an entrepreneur. Not only do I love and adore her, but she is an incredible entrepreneur and role model as a wife and mother juggling multiple roles. In this episode she talks about how she manifested it all, and her advice for all of you leaders out there working to manifest their dream lives and businesses, too.    In this episode, you’ll learn: Tia’s early years in the Walmart buying office and how she shifted into entrepreneurship.  What Tia learned in her years at Walmart.  The power of working with a coach during her transition into entrepreneurship.  Tia’s career and education experience.  What created the spark to start her Instagram platform.  What led Tia to create the reimagined Saree Silhouette. The mission behind tiabhuva.com and Saree Silhouette.  How Tia launched Saree Silhouette and how she incorporated her values into the brand.  The importance of comfort in the brand and Sarees.  How Tia’s company has shipped to over 65 countries.  The biggest leadership challenges that Tia has overcome.  How the emotional things can’t be taught, they have to be experienced and moved through. How Tia has manifested her life and business and what manifestation is to her.  Tia’s biggest piece of advice in detaching.  The power of the parking lot analogy.  Tia’s biggest piece of advice for mothers, especially working mothers.  Tia’s personal best practices and the power of scheduling them into your day.  Understanding and honoring what season of life you’re in.  Connect with Tia on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tiabhuva/   Connect with Tia on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TiaBhuva   Visit Tia’s website: https://tiabhuva.com/   Connect with me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/abcoached/   Visit my website: www.abcoached.com
