I’m picking up what he is putting down

I have been studying for CSW exam (just passed it — phew) and was seeking other fun and informative sources to complement the thick and detailed preparation study guide.

Keith had me at Burgundy. That was the first episode I stumbled upon and listened to and was amazed at how much accurate information provided in 30 minutes of high energy — the history, terroir, grapes, regions, styles, grand crus, etc. From then I was hooked and have listened to every episode. He even managed to make topics like “how grapes are grown” and “how wine is made” interesting and enjoyable. I usually listen while driving, riding my bike, or walking the dog, so Keith’s double espresso energy keeps my attention. Keep ‘em coming Keith — I’m digging what you are doing!

Very informative

Came here for a refresher before getting back into hospitality. Excellent enthusiasm and lack of pretense. Scientific breakdowns are wildly informative as well. Would really appreciate an episode on the use of oak in the winemaking process and the effects of specific aspects of terroir on the wine would be interesting to hear your take on these.

Killer sulfite episode

I’m new ish into the wine industry with no formal training. I’ve worked in the vineyard pruning and on the crush pad for a harvest and now tasting room. I know all these buzz words and know a base of information but you just broke it down way better than any cellar hand or wine maker has ever done. I’ve even added SO2 to tanks and still didn’t fully understand it. Thank you!! Absolutely love this podcast.
