    Romance: What's Romance?

    Love, romance, relationships...

Once a baby comes along, even those with the most rock-solid relationships can find it hard to maintain connection, and yet, romance can manifest in many different ways.

In this episode, you’ll hear from Alex Nation about how she navigated a messy split and how she came out to her son, Elijah. Actress Teresa Palmer, on how she makes her marriage work long-distance between Adelaide and Hollywood. And from many more mums about how they share the parenting load and keep romance alive with their partners, or on their own.

    Your Body: Everything has changed

    Your Body: Everything has changed

Ahhh Bodies. It often feels like they are the subject of public debate.

From the post-baby body bounceback, the stretch marks, the dark nipples and all the things our bodies undergo when a fully-formed human is born.

In this episode, you’ll be hearing from comedian Veronica Milsom who realised how confronting it can be when your body changes. Actress Teresa Palmer, who says pregnancy helped “heal” her disordered relationship with food, and more women whose pregnancy have completely changed the way they feel about their bodies and what they’re capable of.

Identity: Who Am I, Now I’m A Mum?

Identity: Who Am I, Now I’m A Mum?

No matter how it happens, motherhood changes you forever.

Me After You is the show that asks the question: So, what now?

Each episode, host Laura Byrne guides some very different women through their very different stories of life after birth. In this first episode, we’re talking Identity, and you’ll hear from women like Alex Nation, who got pregnant at 18 and wrestled with being a kid with a baby, Narelda Jacobs, who had a shotgun wedding before coming out as gay to her very conservative family and a blogging mum with a huge following who never thought she wanted to become a mother.

And all of them have struggled with the same thing - who the hell am I, now that I’m a mum?

A great chat

My gorgeous firstborn girl is 14mths.. I’m 43.. I fought to fall pregnant, stay pregnant, give birth and breastfeed.. I didn’t do Mother’s groups because she was a very unsettled newborn & of course, my friends have had their children years ago.. I now understand everybody’s experience is so different.. but I find these honest chats insightful and reassuring to hear about other people’s experiences and how they dealt with it. Great for pre or post natal women. Looking forward to more.

Loving this!

I’m not a mother, but I am still loving listening to this. Laura is really honest and a great interviewer who lets the people she is talking to tell their stories. I would recommend this to anyone :)

LOVED IT

Not a mum, but I find this podcast so interesting and soothing to listen to. I’ve recommended it to my friend with a little one! I love how Laura interviews a few different people in one episode. It celebrates diversity and not just one type of mum. Even though the topics are raw, it made me excited for motherhood in the future. Thanks Laura!! Keep it up! 🥰
