If You’re Struggling With Money, Listen to This

In this episode, you’ll learn some of the best financial advice you’ll ever hear - no matter what your financial situation is right now. If getting ahead only seems to be getting harder, and you’re tired of living paycheck to paycheck, you need to hear this: Harder doesn’t have to mean hopeless. Today, Mel sits down with Vivian Tu – bestselling author, and the personal finance educator millions know as Your Rich BFF –  for a conversation about what to do when you’re over feeling broke, behind, or overwhelmed by money. Vivian has been there, and she knows how hard it is to get ahead right now when everything costs more and your paycheck just doesn’t stretch the way it used to. Her message is simple: You don’t have to be broke forever. In this blunt but compassionate conversation, she’s sharing practical moves that can help you start taking your power back – whether you’re buried in debt, starting with nothing saved, worried you’ll never own a home, behind on retirement, or wondering where to begin. You’ll learn:  -Why “just spend less” is bad advice — and the system that works better -The painless way to pay off your debt   -How to get the raise you deserve   -How to think about retirement when you feel hopelessly behind  -The home-buying question most people never ask  -How living with your parents is a power move  -The beginner investing mistake no one warns you about  -The money conversation couples should have much earlier  -The mindset shift from feeling powerless to taking control  Vivian says money is a tool, and the point of having more of it is power, freedom, and the ability to feel in control again – or maybe for the first time. Life isn’t always fair, and getting ahead right now feels harder than it should, but Vivian says there are still moves you can make. You’re not the problem, but you do get to be the solution. The Ultimate Guide to Male Hormones & Men’s Health

This is the ultimate guide to male hormones and men’s health. If a man you love has seemed a bit off lately, this episode will help you understand why. It’s for both men - and the people who love them. This conversation, the first-ever men’s health episode of The Mel Robbins Podcast, was inspired by Mel wanting to learn more about her husband Chris and what she can do to help him with his hormones.  Specifically, it all began with the question: should he be taking testosterone? That led Mel to the world-renowned Stanford urologist Dr. Michael Eisenberg, who joins her today to talk all things men’s health. No topic is off limits – Mel asks the questions that may be on your mind – including everything you and your loved ones need to know about testosterone, erectile dysfunction, sexual health, and prostate health. Dr. Eisenberg explains what happens to men’s hormones as they age, what symptoms to keep a close eye on, and what you and the men you love can do about them. Dr. Eisenberg is a board certified urologist and Professor of Urology at Stanford University. He also leads Stanford's Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Program. He specializes in men’s health, testosterone, fertility, and sexual dysfunction. He will also explain why reproductive health is not separate from the rest of a man’s health. It isn't just directly tied, but it is also a window into what's happening throughout a man’s body.  You’ll learn: -The signs of low testosterone – and when it makes sense to get tested. -Who may benefit from testosterone therapy and who probably should not be taking it. -How sleep, stress, excess body fat, depression, and alcohol can affect testosterone levels. -The side effects and fertility implications every man should understand before starting testosterone. -What erectile dysfunction is, what causes it, and why it can be an important signal about a man’s overall health. -The differences between Viagra, Cialis, and other treatments for erectile dysfunction. -Why erectile dysfunction can deeply affect confidence, intimacy, and relationships, and how a partner can help. -Why male fertility matters even if you are not trying to have children right now. -What changes in urination and prostate health are worth bringing up with a doctor. -Why pelvic floor health matters for men. If there is a man in your life who has seemed more tired, withdrawn, less interested in sex, or simply not like himself lately, this conversation will help you understand what may be going on and what the two of you can do next. And whether you are listening for a man you love, or you’re a man who wants to take control of your health, you’ll be empowered by what Dr. Eisenberg has to share today. How to Stop Being Overlooked & Start Getting What You Want With Top Business School Professor

What are you not doing because you’re afraid nobody will notice? In this episode, you’re going to learn one of the most important career skills nobody teaches you: how to make sure your work, ideas, and contributions get seen. Today, Mel sits down with Professor Marina Cooley, an award-winning professor at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School who teaches marketing and the attention economy: how to break through the noise, make your ideas memorable, and get people to pay attention. Because doing great work is not enough if nobody knows you’re doing it. If you’ve ever felt like you’re working hard but no one seems to notice, watched someone else get the job, raise, or recognition you wanted, or hated the idea of talking about yourself because “self-promotion” feels gross, this conversation is for you. Professor Cooley will teach you how to move through that fear and put yourself out there anyway. This conversation is packed with small, practical strategies that work even if you’re quiet, introverted, hate attention, or have spent your entire career hoping your work would speak for itself. In this episode, you’ll learn: - How to stop being overlooked without becoming someone you’re not - How to communicate your wins without feeling like you’re bragging - Why great work alone won’t necessarily get you promoted - How to build a “portable reputation” that follows you throughout your career - The “3-second test” that reveals whether people understand what you do and the problems you solve - What to do before meetings so your ideas and contributions get noticed - How to get strategic about your work so your effort leads to real advancement - How to put yourself out there when you’re afraid nobody will care Whether you want to get hired, get promoted, grow your business, share your work, or finally get recognition for what you’re already doing, this episode will show you how to stop hiding and start making sure the right people know what you can do. Skills 360 – Emotional Intelligence (1)

https://traffic.libsyn.com/secure/bizpod/360.111-Emotional-Intelligence-1.mp3 Welcome back to the Business English Skills 360 podcast as we look at emotional intelligence. Ask most people what skills or attributes you need to succeed in business, and they’ll likely name a set of crucial hard skills. Things like financial acumen, analytical abilities, problem-solving, digital competence, and strategic thinking. And yes, these skills are important. But the road to success is littered with people who had all these skills but lacked emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence helps people understand and manage their emotions, build stronger relationships, and respond better to challenges. It can also improve teamwork, increase innovation, and reduce conflict in the workplace. An important part of emotional intelligence is self-awareness. This means recognizing and naming emotions such as anger, frustration, fear, and excitement. Understanding these feelings helps people see how their emotions affect their thoughts and actions. It also allows them to identify situations that trigger strong emotional responses and find ways to manage them. Self-awareness also involves understanding personal strengths and weaknesses. Although many people believe they know themselves well, they may have blind spots or find it difficult to admit their weaknesses. A more honest view of their abilities helps them focus on their strengths, improve weaker areas, and delegate tasks when necessary. Another key benefit of emotional intelligence is better self-management. People who understand their emotions are often better at handling stress, staying focused on goals, and maintaining a positive attitude. They can also respond more calmly to difficult situations and work more effectively with others. Emotional intelligence is especially important in today’s changing business environment. As technology and artificial intelligence take over more tasks, human skills such as communication, adaptability, and relationship management become increasingly valuable. Developing emotional intelligence helps people manage their emotions, understand themselves, and work better with others. By developing these soft skills, professionals can become more adaptable, effective, and successful in the workplace.
