[10] Alison Butler and I Talk ALL Things Mental Health.

If there is one thing Alison and I are passionate about, it is mental health. In this episode we talk about the importance of mental health, tips on how to identify if you are currently struggling, strategies to implement, how to help a loved one who might be struggling and so much more. This is an episode for everyone and is such an important topic. It is my mission to normalize  mental health and change the dialogue we have around this. It’s time for the stigmas to disappear and normalize mental health as we do our physical health. If you are looking to educate yourself around mental health, this episode is for you.

    About Alison

Alison is a mental health trainer and speaks about mental wellbeing (aka being the best version of yourself). Her goal is to talk about mental health in a way that everyone can understand and to break down barriers of what mental health "looks like".

We all have a brain, therefore we all have mental health.  Using her own personal experiences, Alison's goal is to make mental wellbeing relatable and attainable for us all!

[009] Alex Stead Shares How She Became a Photographer at the Age of 15, Her Journey With Failure and Some Tips on How To Take Great Photos

Alex and I had the best chat on today’s episode. She shares her journey of entrepreneurship and how she took her photography skills and grew her business while giving herself permission to fail. Alex is so down to earth and shares the ups and downs of being an entrepreneur and how life lessons have brought a new appreciation of self care, doing things that makes her happy and finding a balance that lights her up. Go grab a cup of tea, or put your sneakers on and take us with you on your walk, because Alex is such a breath of fresh air and will leave you feeling inspired and ready to action on all of your goals.

    About Alex…

    I’m Alex Stead.

I remember the day I got my first ‘fancy’ camera and excitedly tried to figure out how to make it work – only to realize that I didn’t know where to put the memory card. After much trial and error and endless hours, I finally figured it out! This led me to eventually build a thriving photography business, and now my client list includes Maclean’s Magazine, Reader’s Digest, Global News, CBC, and many other places both online and in print. I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings, thousands of families, and I’ve helped over 100 budding photographers fall in love with their camera.

I’m now a photographer, content creator, and photography instructor who uses my combined skills to help people who are ready to learn.
