Listen Now: The Letter Season Two
The hit true-crime podcast The Letter is back for Season Two. Today, we’re dropping into your feed to offer you a sneak peek of this gripping and impactful story.
On a winter morning in 1982, two young fathers were found shot to death in a van parked outside an upscale Utah restaurant. The killer soon confessed, but his story about what happened - and why he chose violence - would create more pain, conflict, and questions for the families left in the wake of the murders.
As the families of the men struggle to rebuild their lives, they face questions they never anticipated. Does everyone deserve a second chance? Who is forgiveness for? And if you can inherit trauma, can you also inherit forgiveness? Through their stories, we discover even the most personal decisions can unintentionally ripple through lives, through generations, even impacting the lives of people we’ve never met. From KSL Podcasts (Cold), Lemonada Media (Blind Plea) and WorkHouse Media.

Adult Friendships
Thanks for tawking with me this season. For our final episode, I wanted to introduce you to one of my best friends. As an adult, it’s difficult to balance a career, kids, relationship, and social life. Add long distance to that list and the situation becomes harder to maintain. True friendships go through ups and downs yet still stand the test of time. What kind of friends are there and what purpose do they serve? How do you know when your friendship is worth the effort? Mary Sierra-Cordes and I tawk. But the conversation doesn’t end here.

Red Flags
Red flags – we’ve all seen them and ignored them. They creep into every part of our lives from our mental health to our relationships to our jobs. I’m guilty of not taking my own advice by letting things go unaddressed rather than facing my problems and having those hard but necessary conversations. What is this avoidance crisis leading to? What are common red flags? And what are some signs you might be dismissing them? Let’s tawk.

Financial Literacy
I’ve been hearing a lot of economic scare talk lately. And frankly, I struggle to understand half the words that come out of people’s mouths like recession, inflation and interest rates. It’s time to get financially literate so we can prepare for whatever comes our way. Are we really headed toward a recession or is the media just playing this up? How can I improve my money habits so I can save more and splurge less? Let’s tawk. Let’s Tawk contains mature themes and may not be appropriate for all listeners.

I just love Jamie
Her candor and openness make this a fun and informative podcast. Jamie is a powerful woman with a love for life.
Jesus doesn’t want unwanted kids.
I usually dip at the first sign of religion but I actually liked the host and the topics enough to get over it and listen. Especially since despite her religion she was still pro lgbtq, equality etc. However the couple problems episode??? You’re really convincing a women to have a child she doesn’t want because her husband isn’t happy with them having kids from separate marriages, he must share one with her. Don’t bring an unwanted child into this world because your ego needs you to share spawn with your current partner or because god wants you too.The host asked “have you ever met a mother who regrets having another child when they’re unsure?” YES. I’ve met people who regret children they wanted. A human life is not something you bring into the world unless you are sure. Children are not dolls. And pretending people don’t regret having kids hurts guilty parents full of shame and children who are brought into this world when they aren’t wanted. We need to be more open about parenting regret, because it’s normal to feel regret. The only way to get through those feelings is to face them. And it stops other people who are on the fence from making huge life altering mistakes. Immediately turned off. Nope nope nope.
Awesome!
I loved the first episode of “Tell me what to do”! Looking forward to the next one!
Julie from Canada! 👍😍🇨🇦
The episode on Financial Infidelity was so interesting. I had never heard that term before...but, when I heard it explained, knew exactly Jaime was talking about. 👍😊
Such a relief to hear that grief is not something you only go through with a death of a person. You go through grief in so many other ways...divorce..loss of communication with your children...loss of a job..the list goes on & on. 👍
Loved the podcast on family estrangement. I would love for you to do a podcast on “Parental Alienation” due to divorce. Please & Thank you. 👍😊😍😉
Excellent topic! Parenting is one of the toughest jobs. There is no rule book..you just have to do your best. My kids are now adults now. We armed them with post-secondary educations. They are both soaring like eagles after being pushed out of the nest. You just need to trust your gut instincts...take the good things your parents taught you & delete the things you didn’t agree with. That’s all you can do!
The show with Max & Olivia was awesome! It was great to hear their side of the story. Plus, the advice that Jaime gave in the last minute of the podcast was amazing! That kids don’t clock all the times we are breaking down. So important to remember that & how important it is as Mom’s to embrace our good days & our bad days. Moms are people too!
Great advice given about different religions.
That was the best podcast yet. Love hearing Michael’s response to all of the questions. He really is an even-keeled guy. So chill & a man of few words. But, what he has to say is great! Him & Jaime make a great couple. Loved this conversation. 👍😊
Part 2 of the conversation with Michael was awesome! They are great together. I find his southern accent very charming. Loved this as well. 👍
Loved the last podcast of the season about narcissists. It was awesome! Brought back memories of the last 18 months of my 25 year old marriage. I got divorced 13 years ago & so glad I am no longer with a verbally abusive alcoholic who is a narcissist as well. He came from generations of alcoholics..his father, grandfather & now him. He learned from the best. I made sure I wasn't going to repeat his family history. His mother's only way out of their 63 year marriage...was death. She had left him in her late 40's & went to stay with her daughter in another province for 3 months...but, went back to him after he promised to change (he would call her every day begging her to come back) She went back to him...they went through the "honeymoon stage"..only for it to go back to the way it was before. He was also verbally abusive. I never thought my husband would be that way because he hated it so much growing up. He ended up being the most like his Dad. He grew up in a large family. 6 kids (3 boys & 3 girls) All the kids dealt with the alcoholism in different ways.
