The two kick things off with the Audrain Concours in Newport, where a golf cart chase involving military police somehow became a highlight. From there, the conversation moves into why Spike and Jay both believe internal combustion is not going anywhere, with manual transmission supercars making a quiet comeback at both boutique and mainstream automakers. Jay opens up about his decades-long friendship with President Biden, including a garage visit after the loss of Beau Biden and an infamous soggy White House burger. Biden showed up at the Concours with his grandson and his wedding-gift 1967 Corvette, which sends Spike and Jay into a debate about car show judging culture and the difference between checkbook collectors and the guy in Ohio who has babied the same car since high school. The Rolls-Royce Spectre review portion is unlike anything else on YouTube: the actual giveaway car rolls through the garage doors live on camera. Jay spec'd it black-on-black, identical to his personal Spectre, and shares the casino origin story of a 22-year-old security guard who won a Rolls-Royce and then immediately hit a million-dollar slot jackpot ten feet away. They cover Tesla's flying car claims (Jay is skeptical), the Jaguar rebrand reaction, the Cadillac Celestiq Jay actually came around on, and the ideal powertrain for Porsche's Mission S. Jay wants a flat-eight with an optional manual. Spike wants a naturally aspirated V10 like the Carrera GT. Jay also breaks down his 1971 Porsche 911 T, a Sepia Brown survivor he tracked down the old-school way. The Carrera GT clutch gets its own moment, as it should.
