Winston Lee ID’d as Former South Korean Prime Minister’s Grandson: Cornell 7 Case

Politicians typically are THE most loved when they’re dead.That’s not a threat. Something about no longer wielding power makes them more lovable. And obituaries typically omit the bad stuff. Which brings us to Lee Hong-koo, South Korea’s former prime minister, who held office when the Sampoong Department Store collapsed, a case we covered. His legacy spans decades. But now, netizens speculate that his grandson could become better known than him. They believe Winston Lee, one of the accused in the Cornell 7 case, is his grandson. That connection remains unconfirmed. But if true, Lee comes from one of South Korea’s most prominent families. And he’s lawyered up. His lawyers want New York’s Attorney General off the case. Cornell 7: Frat Brothers Accused of Campus Gang Rape & Sending "Free P***y" Snapchat

There aren’t many reasons why a pedestrian gets hit by a car ends up being at fault. But at Cornell, a student whose foot was allegedly run over by university president Michael Kotlikoff’s car was banned from campus for a year. A few months later, Cornell faces another scandal. Jane Doe files a civil lawsuit against the university and seven fraternity brothers, alleging she was gang raped for seven hours. Her dream university becomes a nightmare, while some of the accused allegedly receive punishments like workshops and essays. Now, Snapchats, text messages and recorded phone calls are emerging. One accused says he was assaulted by Jane Doe, not the other way around. Some people have already picked sides. But like most cases, maybe it’s not so simple. This is the case of the Cornell 7.
