#68: The Girl Who Died Twice (Case of Becky Brown & Amy Burridge)

She died twice on that 12 story bridge.  The first time - she was thrown off the bridge by two men in hopes of killing her. This would be the only way their night of sick torture would stay secret.  The second time - 19 years later. The same bridge. The same spot. The same 120 feet fall.  Are the events connected? How does someone die twice? Source Notes: rottenmangopodcast.com Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. • The Man From Taured

    29 Aug

    The Man From Taured

In 1954, a European businessman arrived in Japan aboard an international flight, carrying documents that appeared to confirm his identity and extensive history of overseas travel. There was, however, one significant problem. The country which had issued his passport did not exist. The traveller himself seemed equally bewildered, insisting that his homeland was a centuries-old nation recognised throughout the world. What followed would become the basis of one of the strangest stories ever to emerge from post-war Japan. And decades later, some believe the mystery of the Man from Taured could provide evidence that other realities exist alongside our own.   Head to https://forkfulmeals.com/bedtime for 50%off your first order today!   MUSIC Tracks used by kind permission of Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0   Tracks used by kind permission of CO.AG Learn more about your ad choices. Man With EXTREME Fetish Beheaded Mid Climax In ‘Viral’ Video - Killer Taunts Internet To Catch Him

“From today, I’m logging off this account for good.”    This was a status update made to a small, personal Facebook account on June 10, 2025. Just a month later, the post goes viral amongst some netizens because the man who ‘posted’ this to his Facebook?   He died 6 months ago. And thousands of those netizens had already witnessed his murder.    They had seen the butcher knife slamming down onto the man’s neck over and over again. They call the killer the “butcher.” The butcher even took the time to pose with the man’s severed head in a mirror selfie.   How do you post on facebook 6 months after your own murder? Is this post going to help people find the killer? And how do thousands of netizens witness a man’s murder?    This is the case of the Vietnamese Butcher.       Full show notes available at RottenMangoPodcast.com Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. 207. The Chameli Bagh Murders | Oishee Rahman

Every year on August 15, Bangladesh remembers a family destroyed inside its own home. In 1975, soldiers entered a residence in Dhaka and assassinated Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, along with most of his family. Decades later, the date was observed across the country as the National Day of Mourning. But on August 15, 2013, as Bangladesh remembered the violence of the past, another home in Dhaka was becoming the scene of a mystery of its own. The apartment belonged to Mahfuzur Rahman, an inspector with the Special Branch of the Bangladesh Police, and his wife, Swapna Rahman. From the outside, there was little reason to pay attention to the family living behind its closed doors. Until the following day, when something inside that apartment brought the police to its entrance. What they discovered would become one of the most unsettling and fiercely debated criminal cases in Bangladesh, raising questions that extended far beyond what had happened that night. This is the story of that home, and the family that lived behind its doors. This is the story of Mahfuzur and Swapna Rahman. • The Lindsay Clancy Case: Everything That Led to the 11-1 Mistrial & Everyone's Reaction

    15 Sept

The Lindsay Clancy Case: Everything That Led to the 11-1 Mistrial & Everyone's Reaction

A jury room is supposed to be where a case finally comes together. Instead, it can become a pressure cooker: strangers locked in a cramped space, arguing over evidence, sending desperate notes to the judge, and trying to reach a decision that could change someone’s life forever.   That pressure is at the center of the Lindsay Clancy trial. After hearing the evidence, the jury reportedly remained deadlocked 11–1, leading to a mistrial and leaving the public with more questions than answers.   What evidence divided the room so completely? What made one juror refuse to budge? And what happens if the case goes to trial again?   But the conversation did not stay inside the courthouse. Online, the case has sparked an entirely separate investigation: arguments over guilt vs. insanity, scrutiny of the people involved, theories about Patrick, discussion of the viral Bratz doll video, and crowdsourced searches through records, family ties, and perceived inconsistencies.   In Part 1 of this multipart series, we unpack the courtroom tension, the deadlocked jury, and the internet theories shaping the public narrative around the Lindsay Clancy case.       Full show notes available at RottenMangoPodcast.com Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
