How can media gain back lost trust?

The world has trust issues with its media. Three in five Australians trust TV and radio news, and what's in the newspapers,. But in North America it is fewer than three in ten. Are we doing something better here, OR are we just a decade behind them?  Is it an economic problem? After all, ownership of our media has been contracting to just a few players. That alone has had some huge implications for the quality of news and who it speaks to. The online podcast world has arguably meant a democratisation of the way people are finding their news.  How can lost trust in media be regained?  GUESTS: Tara Henley, Canadian journalist, broadcaster and author of "The Trust Spiral"Jonathan Holmes, journalist, writer, former ABC TV presenter and broadcasterScott Mitchell, former ABC journalist and now co host of the podcast "Lamestream"This program was recorded on the lands of the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation

Catechism of the Catholic Church Paragraphs: - 787 (in 'The Church is communion with Jesus') - From the beginning, Jesus associated his disciples with his own life, revealed the mystery of the Kingdom to them, and gave them a share in his mission, joy, and sufferings (abbreviated). - 2603 (in 'Jesus Prays') - The evangelists have preserved two more explicit prayers offered by Christ during his public ministry. Each begins with thanksgiving. In the first, Jesus confesses the Father, acknowledges, and blesses him because he has hidden the mysteries of the Kingdom from those who think themselves learned and has revealed them to infants, the poor of the Beatitudes. His exclamation, "Yes, Father!" expresses the depth of his heart, his adherence to the Father's "good pleasure," echoing his Father's house." Here the newness of prayer in the fullness of time begins to be revealed: his filial prayer, which the Father awaits from his children, is finally going to be lived out by the only Son in his humanity, with and for men. - 1083 (in 'The Father - Source & Goal of the Liturgy') - The dual dimension of the Christian liturgy as a response of faith and love to the spiritual blessings the Father bestows on us is thus evident. On the one hand, the Church, united with her Lord and "in the Holy Spirit, blesses the Father "for his inexpressible gift in her adoration, praise, and thanksgiving. On the other hand, until the consummation of God's plan, the Church never ceases to present to the Father the offering of his own gifts and to beg him to send the Holy Spirit upon that offering, upon herself, upon the faithful, and upon the whole world, so that through communion in the death and resurrection of Christ the Priest, and by the power of the Spirit, these divine blessings will bring forth the fruits of life "to the praise of his glorious grace." The Biggest THREAT to Christianity is Happening RIGHT NOW (ft. Philip Anthony Mitchell) | Live Free with Josh Howerton

What does it look like to contend for your faith when culture is shifting, pressure is rising, and following Jesus may cost you something? Pastor Josh Howerton sits down with Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell for a raw and deeply personal conversation about Philip’s journey from the streets of Queens and Rikers Island to surrendering his life to Christ and eventually becoming a pastor. Philip shares how God transformed his life, shaped his preaching, and taught him that faithfulness—not platform, influence, or recognition—is the true measure of ministry. The conversation also turns to some of today’s most controversial issues as Josh and Philip discuss biblical authority, spiritual deception, Islam, politics, persecution, end-times theology, and why they believe Christians must contend for biblical truth. Through it all, Philip challenges believers to reject apathy and faithfully represent Christ wherever God has placed them. In this episode: Philip Anthony Mitchell’s powerful testimony of coming to Christ Why faithful ministry often begins in obscurity Why Philip preaches with such urgency What it means to “contend for the faith” Biblical authority in an age of spiritual confusion Josh and Philip’s concerns about Islam, religious freedom, and cultural change Their perspective on end-times prophecy and the return of Christ How to remain faithful through criticism and opposition Why your mission field is wherever God has placed you Stand firm. The Armor of God: Every Piece Explained

The armor of God is not a mantra. It is a daily mindset, and most Christians are putting it on wrong. Billy Crone, author of The Armor of God, joins Jimmy Evans to break down every piece in Ephesians 6, from the belt of truth, which holds the whole thing together, to prayer, the piece most people skip but Paul mentions five times in three verses. Billy explains why 65 percent of the professing church is already losing a battle it doesn't believe it's in, and how two decisions, be strong in God's mighty power and put on this armor, will change that. Every piece. Every day. Nothing the enemy throws can penetrate it. Now We Have Access | Genesis 3:8-13 | Milton James

In this uncompromising standalone message, Elder Milton James calls us back to the life of prayer and dependence that Jesus modeled throughout His earthly ministry.  Through Christ, we have ACCESS to the Father and have been invited into constant holy communion with Him, yet sin, distraction, busyness, and self-reliance can cause us to neglect His presence and drift from the intimacy He desires with us.
