Inspirational Podcast Excerpt:Your ability to take a new hold on life depends upon your ability to break with the thoughts of the past and acquire a new outlook on the present and future. Taking a new hold, then, is simply a matter of gaining the right perspective of time. If the past continues to be something to you, then the unpleasant events of the past will continue to live. Their hold on you will prevent your taking a new hold on life.  ---------------------                                  Get our popular 3 books of Life Lessons in paperback and e-book on Amazon. Inspiring Thoughts on Your Immortal Life

Listen to episode 1143 of the Inspirational Living Podcast: Inspiring Thoughts on Your Immortal Life, edited & adapted from Theodore Parker's Unitarian sermon on immortality. Inspirational Podcast Excerpt: Immortality is what philosophers call an ontological fact; it belongs essentially to our being, just as the eye is a physiological fact and belongs to our body. To my mind this is the great proof of immortality: the fact that it is written in human nature; written there so plain that the no nation has failed to find it, to know it; written just as much as form is written on the circle. It comes to our consciousness as naturally as the notions of time and space. We feel it as a desire; we feel it as a fact.  To suppose that this universal desire has no corresponding gratification is to deny reality. I feel the longing after immortality, a desire essential to my nature, deep as the foundation of my being; I find the same desire in all people—though some may try to hide or dismiss it.  ---------------------                                  Get our popular 3 books of Life Lessons in paperback and e-book on Amazon. Advice to Young Artists

Listen to episode 1142 of the Inspirational Living podcast: Advice to Young Artists. Edited and adapted from an Oscar Wilde lecture to art students. Inspirational Podcast Excerpt: Today, I do not desire to give you any abstract definition of beauty. For we who are working in art cannot accept any theory of beauty in exchange for beauty itself, and, rather than desiring to isolate it in a formula appealing to the intellect, we, on the contrary, seek to materialize it in a form that gives joy to the soul through the senses. We want to create art, not to define it. The definition should follow the work: the work should not adapt itself to the definition. Nothing, indeed, is more dangerous to the young artist than any conception of ideal beauty: for you will be constantly led by it either into weak prettiness or lifeless abstraction: whereas to touch the ideal at all, you must not strip it of vitality. You must find it in life and re-create it in art. ---------------------                                  Get our popular 3 books of Life Lessons in paperback and e-book on Amazon. Remember that you are the maker and molder of your own destiny. You do not recall the fact, but you brought about the present conditions of your destiny in your former lives. ---------------------                                  Get our popular 3 books of Life Lessons in paperback and e-book on Amazon.
