BILL GLASS: Behind Progressive's Famous Mustache

Get ready for an incredibly fun and insightful episode as we sit down with the hilariously talented Bill Glass, the actor behind one of the most recognizable faces, and fake mustaches, on television as Progressive's legendary "Dr. Rick"! In this conversation, Bill takes us back to his Chicago roots and shares his journey from high school class clown who stumbled into improv to a true "lunch pail actor" who has spent 26 years building a successful career in Los Angeles. He also opens up about landing a recurring role alongside Ed Helms on Mike Schur's Rutherford Falls, and developing his "one for them, one for me" approach to auditioning. Bill gets real about navigating the politics of Hollywood, using improv to save the day on set, and why actors can't afford to sit around waiting for the traditional system to give them permission to work. Tune in for an inside look at how a series of intense auditions ultimately led to a life-changing "unicorn" commercial campaign and why Bill never treats a one-off role like it's just a one-off. These are the unforgettable stories that landed Bill Glass right here. WEDNESDAY WISDOM: Stop Performing For The Camera

Logan Marshall-Green said it took him over a decade to truly own himself in front of a camera — and he also said something that reframes why it takes so long for all of us: "You don't make art to impress. You make art to unveil something about yourself." This week we break down the difference between performing AT the camera and letting it actually find you, why the gap between what you feel in a scene and what you see on your tape is not a flaw but the work itself, and how shifting from impressing to unveiling changes everything about the way you show up to every audition. Slaytember is here, and every session is a rep toward the most unveiled version of yourself on camera. Go listen to Logan's full episode first — then come join us. LOGAN MARSHALL-GREEN: The Walkaway Philosophy

Today, we're sitting down with powerhouse actor Logan Marshall-Green, who has spent decades carving out an extraordinary career from the stage to the screen. His story begins with famously turning down a role in Terminator 3 in order to finish his MFA. In this episode, Logan takes us through his raw and honest journey, from battling intense imposter syndrome on the set of Ridley Scott's Prometheus to eventually finding his camera "sea legs" and learning to trust himself on screen. We dive into what it was like to get into an unscripted, physical scrap with Richard Gere in Brooklyn's Finest, direct the legendary Ethan Hawke in Adopt a Highway, share the screen with Al Pacino in Killing Castro, and step onto the epic scale of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. Plus, Logan shares his invaluable "walkaway" audition philosophy: a mindset that teaches artists how to let go, trust the work they've done, and keep moving forward. ALEX BONIFER: Yes And-ing Yourself

Today's guest, Alex Bonifer, has taken a decidedly unconventional route to becoming a standout in some of television's most unique comedies. A summer improv class, forced upon him by his father, set him on a twelve-year journey through legendary comedy institutions including iO West, UCB, and The Groundlings. Alex went from working as a furniture salesman and Uber driver to becoming a series regular, landing memorable roles in Superstore, Kevin Can F**k Himself, and most recently Jury Duty. Along the way, he developed a philosophy of taking the "big swing" while "caring but not giving a shit" about the outcome. Alex gets candid about the grit, rejection, and persistence it took to get there, the physical secrets behind his character work, and how he stayed in character for his entire audition for "Dougie Jr." These are the unforgettable stories that landed Alex Bonifer right here. RERUN | Jason Momoa: A Man That Does It All

Jason Momoa was the FIRST one to audition for GAME OF THRONES and the LAST one cast a year later. His cousin's impact on his life helped him make a strong choice that ultimately landed him the role. But it took him a few years and a couple of classes to trust his instinctive strong choices and learn how to "audition." BAYWATCH discovered him in his native home of Hawaii among a 1,300-person cattle call. Jason responded to a radio call announcing the audition that would pay him more than the daily rate of folding T-shirts at the family-owned surf shop. Jason's unique look has always made him a different choice, but also made opportunities few and far between. So Jason, with many of his close friends, formed the production company Pride of Gypsies, which has made Jason into an all-around filmmaker — writing, producing, directing and acting. Forever remembered for his unforgettable role as Drogo in Game of Thrones, Jason has since become a global star as Aquaman in the DC universe, Duncan Idaho in Dune, and the lead in Apple TV+'s See. He's also stepped further behind the camera, creating and starring in his passion project Chief of War, and appeared in A Minecraft Movie, The Fall Guy, and his travel/design series On the Roam. These are the unforgettable stories that landed Jason Momoa right here.
