Paternal
Paternal is a show about the brotherhood of fatherhood. Created and hosted by Nick Firchau, a longtime journalist and podcast producer, Paternal offers candid and in-depth conversations with great men who are quietly forging new paths in fatherhood. Listen as our diverse and thoughtful guests – a world-renowned soccer star in San Diego, a Oglala Sioux elder in South Dakota, a New York Knicks barber in Queens, a pioneering rock DJ in Seattle and many more - discuss the models of manhood that were passed down to them, and how they're redefining those models as they become fathers themselves.

Nick’s podcast is such a gift. It should be required listening. It is heartfelt and heartbreaking. It is lyrical and it is arresting. He is the best in the game at editing and storytelling and creating a platform of trust for his guests to open up and introspect.
Very Informative insightful and helpful

I really enjoy listening to Nick and his guests. I do not have children myself, but the discussions, both about parenthood and manhood, remain relevant to me as they address many issues true for all men, both as children and now as adults. Nick’s podcasts are very well crafted and very insightful, and can be very helpful to women wanting to gain a deeper understanding of what goes on in our (men’s) minds. I highly recommend you listen to Nick and his guests. Bravo.
