Hi Matt, I just listened to your episode on Host vs Hostage. I have learned after 70+ years suffering from a number of mental health issues that the stronger my sense of self (ego) the more I suffer. It creates a feeling of separation, urgency, scarcity, etc. Which in turn drives fear, guilt, shame, anger, anxiety and depression. The more I can see my life in a holistic way interconnected with everything else in the universe the happier and more peaceful I feel. Attachment to self is truly the greatest driver of mental illness. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Ken Spokane, WA
