Wine Access Unfiltered
Wine Access Unfiltered—The Official Podcast and Wine Club of Wine Access—goes deep into what we really love about wine: the intimate moments, unforgettable occasions, and hilarious stories that a great bottle brings about. Hosted by former PRESS wine director and Napa Valley insider Amanda McCrossin with appearances from our team of unrivaled experts, we’re popping our favorite bottles and sharing them with you. The Wine Access Unfiltered Wine Club delivers a completely new wine education experience. Once every two months, you’ll receive four bottles. They will all be featured and discussed on the Wine Access Unfiltered podcast. That way, you can drink along with us as we tell stories, share knowledge, and answer your questions!
Fire Rekindled

I’ve listened to a lot of wine podcasts over the years but somehow I missed this one for quite a while. I’m not even sure how it came to my attention, but I’m very happy it did. Sometimes you need a “shake-me-up” and this podcast did that for me. I’ve always been passionate about wine ever since I first got into it, but even passions ebb and flow. Amanda’s passion for wine and skills as an interviewer are thoroughly enjoyable, and they led me to binging this podcast over a few weeks. The evolution from the early episodes of sports and comedian interviews to the more recent topical ones is fascinating, and I find them all enjoyable. Easily five stars.
Great conversation

I’ve been binge listening to the Wine Access Unfiltered podcast and have learned so much about wine in such a short amount of time. Amanda makes wine approachable and unpretentious but while still imparting reverence for the art of winemaking and significance of the industry. I am awaiting my first shipment from the Wine Access Unfiltered wine club and can’t wait to taste the wines along with Amanda and her guests and I continue to expand on my newfound passion for wine!

I follow several podcasts and out of all of them Wine Access with Amanda is my favorite! The show is fun and not snobby at all making everybody feel comfortable learning about all things, Wine.
Know-Nothing, Out of Touch

The comments made about sustainability and glass bottles were beyond ridiculous. Hosts should touch some grass and read a book. They cannot even pronounce “terroir” correctly.
The barrier to the world’s best wine isn’t price. It’s access.

That is the tagline for Wine Access, and every time I listen to an episode, it is over-the-top indulgent, dripping with ostentatious excess. I want to learn about wine. That’s literally why I keep struggling through the episodes. But I can’t help but want to scream every time I hear a “I went here, did this, spent this, ate here, traveled there” along with the “You know x , right?” Weeding through the narrative is someone who works hard to be at the best places, with the most expensive wines, in the most outrageous places. It runs counterpoint to the very tag line of Wine Access. Please focus on the wine, and the stories, and the tastings. Forgo the constant wave of competition. I am a HUGE Wine Access Wine Club fan and have purchased dozens of cases over the past several years. I don’t have the bandwidth to care where you ate, or about your three thousand euro bottle of wine. I want to grow as a wine drinker and collector. Tell me less about how lucky you are and more about the wine in the glass. And research. There were so many elements of the Nat Wine Podcast, the most recent one I listened to, that were flat out wrong. Technically. Philosophically. Tighten the narrative with a bend toward education and enrichment. History, culture, weather, soil, anything. Additionally, I take notes during the podcast and I would like a touch more in terms of pronunciation and resource links. I’m scribbling down approximate names of wines that I spent time researching and trying to locate what you are referencing. Please add more show notes so I can find what you are talking about, or where I can learn about it or just enunciate so that I can live with parallel hopes of finding these treasures. (In this episode, I researched Black Sheep Lisboa, Newport Nat Pool, and Peto Rose Nat 3B for example . . .) Many thanks.
Very enjoyable

Makes wine fun again

Learning about wine is daunting, but this podcast makes it enjoyable, removes the pretentiousness from wine and inspired to get back on my journey after being overwhelmed by my first wine course. The first season was fun and interesting, but the second season format is really smart, each diving into a specific theme while still pulling in the broader context. These podcast has even inspired - and helped me plan - an upcoming trip to Bordeaux. Highly recommend!
