    Ep. 224 - Finishing Founder's Month w/CM Taekwon Lee

    We concluded the seven-week Songam Academic Program in Alaska and returned with 119 medals at the tournament. I recount the journey from the wilderness to the competition and the clear growth we observed in each student. We interviewed Chief Master Taekwon Lee about Eternal Grandmaster’s legacy and his charge to embrace the principle, “today not possible, tomorrow possible.” We highlight the cultural learning, the clan house and totem visits, and the community hospitality that shaped the experience. We urge ATA members to attend forthcoming events such as the H. U. Lee Classic and Spring Nationals to continue training and to honor tradition while responsibly adopting new tools. I thank the students, instructors, chaperones, and parents for their dedication that made this achievement possible.

    Ep. 221 - Fall Nationals Recap & Alaskan Update

    I begin by stating that Fall Nationals in Pittsburgh was exceptional and that we present an animated video and interviews from the Songam Academic program in Whale Pass, Alaska near the start of the show. I recount the strong turnout, excellent training, and featured events such as Clash of the Blades and Bows Bow to the Max. I highlight the young students from Alaska who described their work, modeled techniques, and even jumped from the dock into the cold glacier water. I speak with Senior Master Church about Founders Month, the legacy of Eternal Grandmaster, and the importance of the Memorial Foundation and scholarships. I also announce that World Championships will start a day earlier this year, that the 2029 World Championships will be held in Chicago, and that we encourage listeners to subscribe and to support ATA programs.     Ep. 220 - Time to Head to Pittsburgh One Least Time!

    I state that week three of the Songam Academic program in Whale Pass, Alaska focused on immersive training, guest instructors, community activities, and Founders Month fundraising for the H. Lee Scholarship Foundation. We described a regional camp that built bonds by the fire and included lectures from senior instructors. I interviewed students from Texas who recounted charter fishing, plans for a glacier trip, tumbling instruction, and direct training with Grandmaster. We highlighted that several students will compete in Extreme Forms and Extreme Weapons at a tournament in Idaho and that they will use weapons such as the bo staff and nunchaku. I reminded listeners about Songam University for dual enrollment, Business Beyond the Mat for licensees, Fall Nationals, and the HU Lee Classic in Little Rock. We urged support for Founders Month fundraisers and encouraged listeners to seek stories from senior members about Eternal Grandmaster H. Lee.
