Women Waken: Spiritual Healing for Trauma in Relationships to Shift from Codependency to Divine Feminine

Whitney Walker

My name is Whitney Walker, welcome to Women Waken! I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist specialising in substance abuse, addiction, eating disorders, trauma, and Spirituality. Over 10 years ago I walked into a therapist office for the first time because I realised that I felt incapable of handling life. I abused drugs and alcohol, had rock bottom self esteem, often felt suicidal, was very self destructive, and had no idea how to resolve what felt like a complete mess inside my mind and emotions. After years of therapy, getting sober, and choosing to begin the journey of unconditional self love for myself, things started to change. My self esteem rose along with my self regard and kindness towards myself. I knew there was only one thing I wanted to do with the rest of my life; help others out of the place that I was in and start figuring out how we can end these cycles for good, for all of us. Women Waken is building community and offering a platform for Women to come together who share a vision of creating a new way of life where insecurity, low self esteem, and self- destruction are no longer the norm. Where we are able to rebalance the dynamic between the inner and outer Worlds so that our ability to love and accept ourselves is no longer dependent on externals. On this show, we speak to Women who are seeking to heal from traumas/habits/addictions that are keeping them in a place of disempowerment who are ready to begin aligning with their true self and are ready to let their light shine I release two episodes a week, an interview and solo episode, If you feel ready to reclaim your power and stand in your Divine light I hope this show finds you!

TBF: Guidance for Following Your Intuition & Trusting Your Truth to Step Away From Codependent Fear & Towards Divine Feminine Abundance, Success, and Fulfillment

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." -Anais Nin You are your own greatest source of Wisdom. This is the message being shared in this Divine Feminine solo episode on trusting & following your truth & intuition. It can be scary to listen to the little voice inside, nudging you towards your destiny. Or to follow your passion and inspirations even when others tell you that they're silly, ridiculous, or impossible. Nothing is impossible in our infinite Universe, therefore anything you dream up can be done. You just have to trust what you know and feel to be true, act on it, and allow it to come forth into the World. On this Divine Feminine solo episode I share what I mean by following your intuition and trusting your truth and offer some ways to connect with your truth, honor it, and discover the magic hidden within it. Throw Back Friday (TBF): How to Reclaim Your Divine Feminine Power And End the Cycle of Trauma Picking Your Romantic Partners

*This episode was originally published on April 19, 2023. While I'm traveling/not able to upload new episodes I'm re-releasing older solo episodes that I hope will offer guidance to whoever needs it!* Have you always dreamed of meeting your True Love, Soul Mate, Divine Life Partner? Someone who really sees you, gets you, appreciates and loves you just as you are? Ya. Me too. So with my focus and intention set on finding such perfectly aligned love, why do I keep ending up in unfulfilling, disappointing, and ego crushing situationships time and again? If this is a conversation you've had with yourself, this episode might help to shed some light on why we tend to gravitate towards and seek out relationships and romantic connections with people who will only hurt, use, and potentially manipulate us. It's all based on who is in the drivers seat; is it your soul or your trauma? On this solo episode I offer some psychoeducation around the influence that our emotional wounding (trauma) has on how and why we pursue certain romantic connections. I then offer a few tips on how you can begin to observe when this tendency comes up, check in with yourself  before acting on it, and begin to focus more on your higher self (Soul) needs to heal trauma and align with an actual viable partnership.  Feel free to reach out to me to see how we can work together and send your questions, feedback, and requests for future solo episodes here: Whitney Walker, LMFTLicense # 107082www.WomenWaken.comhttps://www.psychologytoday.com/profi...Whitney@WomenWaken.comIG: @Womenwaken

The Nomad Experiment: Tips, Strategies, & Tough Love To Help You Finally Kick-Start Your Divine Feminine Travel Life, Let Go Of Convention, & Find Acceptance With Difficult Diagnosis

What does a fulfilling life mean to you? It's an important question for anyone to ask themselves because it can help to influence your decisions, focus, and dedication to bring you closer to what you truly want and decide how you spend your time. My guest this week, Jason Robinson, reached a point in his life where he knew he wanted more; travel, adventure, and freedom. So he went for it. And then received some shocking news that changed his whole World again. Yet he had learned to roll with the changes. A previous guest encouraged me to Follow Jason on Instagram and have him on the show because she said we had some things in common and, indeed, we do. I loved talking to a follow nomad and hearing his wisdom around embracing life and his unique circumstances in a loving and accepting way to the best of his ability. On this guest episode Jason and I bond over our Nomadic lifestyles and love for novel experiences in life as well as a desire to be able to actually enjoy the lives we have. Jason shares about hitting a burnout wall a couple years ago; the moment, the action he took after 6-18 months of MVP (Minimum viable product = least amount of work to pay the bills instead of hustling all the time on side hustles + work), and learning how to play again or to simply sit in silence and be. (That last part is hard!) Part of Jason's story is also his Type 1 Diabetes diagnoses that he received just a year after becoming nomadic. He offers insight into taking intentional time to grieve when he was diagnosed and his realization that living in time scarcity isn’t really the way to be for someone who is committed to living to the fullest. BIO: As a working class kid from Ohio, Jason didn't realize that moving away from his home state was an option until he was in his 20s, but as he got older, he realized that unless he wanted to end up a cranky old man with twisted, second-hand perceptions of the world, he figured he better start learning to travel... solo!  As a result, Jason adopted an “experiment mindset” to tackle the unknowns of travel and how to make a living while on the road. He eventually transitioned to being a location independent nomad, earning his income by being a freelance designer and writer. Then, less than a year after selling it all to travel and work remote, during the Covid pandemic, Jason was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. He remains dedicated to motivating and inspiring others to push their comfort zones, but now he includes how to navigate living nomadically while managing a major medical condition.  After hitting a major burnout wall a couple of years ago, these days Jason has really been concentrating on taking life slower, focusing more on the present, and trying to find balance with all of the directions life can pull us in. TBF: 5 Boundaries to Establish While Dating to Avoid Codependent & Toxic Partnerships And Be Fully In Your Divine Feminine

    * THIS EPISODE WAS ORIGINALLY RELEASED IN JUNE 0F 2023. ENJOY!* Hello Dear Listeners! I've now done 2 episodes on Trauma Vs Love picking your romantic partnerships while dating. I'm back at it with today's Identify and Heal solo episode to add a few more steps to the process. Once we've identified what it means to have trauma running the show/picking our potential partners, we can now decide to choose differently. I've explained what it looks and feels like to shift from Fear/Trauma to Love/Security when pursing romance. On this episode, I offer the steps to take to identify your initial Gatekeeper when entertaining a potential mate, and then 4 additional gates to consider. I emphasis the importance of checking in with your self and NOT compromising or making excuses when you know darn well that something is off or your worth and value is being compromised. Establishing a main gatekeeper and sequential gates can help you to avoid getting sucked in to a toxic, codependent, and unhealthy relationship that does not serve your highest good and takes you out of your Divine Feminine nature. ** Link for Self Betrayal episode mentioned, helpful for those who feel they often abandon themselves when dating: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/stop-abandoning-yourself-identify-and-break-the/id1580972247?i=1000593594992 Feel free to reach out to me to see how we can work together and send your questions, feedback, and requests for future solo episodes here: Whitney Walker, LMFTLicense # 107082www.WomenWaken.comhttps://www.psychologytoday.com/profi...Whitney@WomenWaken.comIG: @WomenwakenYoutube: @womenwaken

TBF: Break-Ups & Rejection as a Catalyst For Transformation, Growth, & Closing Codependent Cycles To Embrace Our True Divine Feminine Spirit

    * Hello Dear Listeners! People seem to like the dating episodes from the archives so here's another one. As I'm on the move abroad and not able to record, I've decided to republish most of my catalogue as I know many listeners haven't gone back to older episodes. Hope you enjoy!* The old adage is true; breaking up is hard to do. There is nothing quite like the ending of a romantic relationship to truly feel like you've been punched in the stomach, had your heart stepped on, and like an angry swarm of bees have been placed in your head with swirling thoughts of what went wrong. Of course all endings are different yet, a lot of the time, break-ups result in a fairly strong emotional upheaval. ESPECIALLY if a sense of rejection was involved. However, there is good news. These treacherous experiences that leave you unable to eat, sleep, or think about anything else can act as a major catalyst for you personal and spiritual growth. Don't believe me? Check out this episode. On this solo Identify and Heal episode I share my professional and personal views on rejection & break ups; why they affect us so strongly, how they can benefit us and enable powerful transformation, and of course I throw in some tips on how to actually get through them because, it can be brutal. So be ready to take notes and get some tissue if you're going through one right now, tears are cathartic and fantastic for you! TBF: Is It Heart Break Or An Ego Bruise? Using Your Divine Feminine Knowing To Explore Your True Feelings When a Codependent Relationship Ends

*This episode was originally released in June 2023. Wondering if my current audience still resonates with the dating episodes:) Breaking up is hard to do. It can be absolutely brutal when a relationship comes to an end leaving us feeling like a life force we've come to know and enjoy has just disappeared. There can be a lot of crying, deep sadness, confusion, questions, and intense longing to reconnect with our lost love. The more connected with our Divine Feminine self we are the less of an impact these endings have, because our worth and emotional well being isn't as tied up in other people. Yet we're still Human and it can be a struggle anytime you lose love. The question of this episode is... is what you're feeling really heart break or just an ego bruise? On this episode I share what I mean by ego bruising and distinguish between a connection based in ego, fear, and deficit compared to one based in love, security, and feelings of safety. Hint; one relates to the Divine Feminine and the other to codependency. T SHOULD STILL HOLD UP ;)* I'm on a Self Love kick lately and I'm hoping many of you will join me. especially after the eclipse and New Moon in Libra this past weekend. I feel this strong sense that it's time to step forward and never look back. To end the comparisons and the self criticism. A time to truly embody the Divine Feminine Empress energy. Joy, Jazz, & Leadership: Guidance From The Leadership Strategist On How To Navigate The Pursuit Of Our Divine Feminine Dreams With Confidence & Grace

Music, happiness, and inspiring others are a few of my favorite things. Which is why I was very excited to speak with this week's guest, Galen Bingham, The Leadership Strategist and host of the fabulous podcast, Whisky, Jazz, and Leadership. Although I've been sober now for 10 years, I'm able to relate to Galen's concept for his show where Whisky represents savoring & appreciating life and Jazz & Leadership are our own brilliant expression that inspires others. Galen and I did a pod swap after meeting on the panel for another fabulous show, Think & Grow Rich Mastermind. We appreciated each other's perspectives and proceeded to have a blast recording together speaking on all things growth, manifestation, masculine/feminine benefits, and what a true leader is.On this guest episode, Galen and I have a thoughtful and wide-spanning conversation to explore what makes us happy, inspires, and motivates us. Galen brought some very thoughtful concepts to the show including, presence beyond polish, the importance of passion & joy to reaching success, and why real leadership presence comes from alignment of identity, authority, and decision clarity rather than presentation skills. We also discuss the moment leaders stop waiting for permission and make the shift from performing leadership to embodying leadership. Bio: Galen Bingham is known as The Leadership Strategist®. He is a Top Executive Coach recognized by INC Magazine and named the #1 Executive Coach in the Midwest by Real Leaders Magazine. A former Fortune 500 executive with companies such as Kraft Foods, Imperial Sugar, and Coca-Cola North America, Galen now coaches senior leaders and C-suite executives navigating high-stakes decisions and complex organizational pressure. He is the host of the award-winning Whiskey, Jazz & Leadership podcast, which streams in over 20 countries, and serves as President of the SSM Cardinal Glennon Healthcare Foundation. Galen is also the author of the forthcoming book The Power Code, focused on how rising executives navigate pressure, power, and politics at the highest levels of leadership.
