Body Wisdom Rising

Alyssa Stefanson

Body Wisdom Rising is a podcast for people navigating deep change — awakenings, identity shifts, healing, and the sense that the old ways of living no longer work. We’re living in a time of collective disillusionment and awakening. Many are being asked to slow down, feel more, and re-orient their lives — often without support from systems that were never designed for this kind of transformation. This podcast offers a grounded way to make sense of these experiences by reconnecting to the body as teacher, the Earth as stabilizer, ancestral wisdom as context, and spiritual support rooted in lived experience. I’m Alyssa Stefanson, Somatic and Ancestral Healing Guide, and host of Body Wisdom Rising. Each episode weaves together somatic healing, nervous system regulation, ancestral remembrance, and earth-based wisdom to support personal and collective healing. We speak honestly about initiation, death-and-rebirth cycles, trauma, addiction, disconnection, and what becomes possible when familiar identities fall away and something deeper begins to emerge. If you’re navigating change and looking for a grounded, embodied way to understand what’s happening — you’re in the right place. Body Wisdom Rising — where remembering becomes medicine. From Self-Made to Spirit-Led with Danette May

Send us Fan Mail What happens when the way you created success is no longer the way you are meant to move forward? In this episode of Body Wisdom Rising, Alyssa sits down with world-renowned mentor, best-selling author and visionary entrepreneur Danette May for a deeply honest conversation about loss, spiritual awakening, intuition and surrender. Danette shares how her work evolved from nutrition and fitness into something far more spiritual: helping people reconnect with the divine wisdom already living within them. She opens up about the personal initiations that shaped this evolution, including the loss of her son, depression, profound upheaval and a recent chapter that caused her to question what was true, what was real and who she could trust. They explore what it means to develop spiritual gifts while remaining grounded, why Danette is careful not to position herself as the authority over another person’s truth and how she is learning to stop driving every part of her life and allow herself to be guided. Danette also shares the story behind Soul Writing, the deeply personal practice that is now becoming a new show and offering, and why she believes our intuition is one of our most valuable forms of wisdom. In this conversation: • How Danette’s work evolved from fitness and nutrition into spiritual teaching • The personal initiations that catalyzed her awakening • How loss and depression can unravel what is no longer true • Navigating spiritual gifts without giving away your sovereignty • The fear of becoming visible in spiritual work • Learning to trust messages from the other side • Why Danette stopped trying to be the agent, jockey and racehorse • Moving from force and control into receptivity and surrender • The origins of Soul Writing • Why your intuition is gold, especially when something feels off About Danette May Danette May is a world-renowned mentor, best-selling author, visionary entrepreneur, motivational speaker, wife and mother. She is the #1 best-selling author of The Rise and Embrace Abundance, co-founder of Mindful Health, LLC and Earth Echo Foods, and founder of The Rise Movement. After losing her son during childbirth, going through a divorce and finding herself with only $47 to her name, Danette chose to rewrite her story. She began healing through what would become her three core pillars: healing foods, healing movement and a healing mindset. Today, Danette leads multiple eight-figure transformation brands, including Fit Rise 365 and Lotus Rising. She has empowered millions of people around the world to rise into radical self-love, reconnect with their power and create a healthier body, mind and spirit. In Between Chapters: Surviving Eclipse Season

Send us Fan Mail Eclipse season feels strange because we’re crossing a threshold where one story is ending while another is already beginning, and your body often registers the shift before your mind can explain it. We break down what eclipses actually are, why the North Node and South Node matter, and how to track real-life endings and openings without spiralling into fear.  • why eclipse season can feel foggy, emotional, and physically intense  • what a solar eclipse and lunar eclipse are in simple terms  • how the North Node and South Node describe growth versus the familiar  • what a South Node eclipse in Leo can complete around identity, attention, and performance  • what the Aquarius Leo nodal cycle asks of us around community, belonging, and contribution  • how Pisces Virgo themes show up as control versus surrender, structure versus flow  • how to use your birth chart, degrees, houses, and aspects to see what you’ll feel most  • what conjunctions, oppositions, and squares to an eclipse can bring up  • practical ways to move through eclipse season with discernment, rest, and journaling  • past eclipse cycles to review so you can spot repeating patterns and turning points  It would mean the world to me if you just take a quick moment to leave a review.  All the information for the calling is in the show notes. We start September 3rd.  Alyssa's IG: @wildfemininerise Work With Alyssa: In Service— 1:1 Soul-Led Leadership Mentorship Watch Alyssa's episode on Lead With Heart

Trauma, Psychedelics & the Path to Real Transformation With Dr. Jesse Hanson

Send us Fan Mail Big realizations are easy to chase. Lasting transformation is harder, quieter, and way more embodied. Alyssa sits down with Dr. Jesse Hanson, PhD psychologist and somatic healer, to unpack why so many people have powerful insights, breathwork highs, or psychedelic experiences, then land back in the same loops a few weeks later. We trace the difference to bihemispheric healing: weaving clear left-brain understanding with right-brain somatic experience so your nervous system, posture, breath, and relationships actually change. We dig into what “safe space” really means, and why energetic safety is not enough without relational safety. Jesse shares how preparation, trauma education, and clinical frameworks like EMDR-informed approaches, parts work, attachment patterns, and nervous system regulation can prevent people from feeling broken when old material rises. Alyssa adds the lived reality of trauma residue surfacing in a well-held container, and how co-regulation and asking for help can become the moment where the body finally learns something new. You also hear a grounded map for trauma reprocessing and integration, including why corrective experiences matter, why the work is the work whether or not plant sacraments are involved, and how language like “you are the medicine” can bring your power back home. Jesse closes by sharing new offerings, including the Wisdom Collective for men and a practitioner-focused training around trauma reprocessing mastery, plus details on our co-hosted Costa Rica retreat (January 17 to 23). If this conversation sparks something in you, subscribe, share it with a friend, and leave a review. What would change if you trusted your body to lead? The Rare Planetary Alignment Everyone's Talking About: What It Means For Your Awakening

Send us Fan Mail A rare planetary alignment is peaking, timelines feel like they’re shifting, and a lot of people are wondering whether we’re heading for another 2020-style crisis or something entirely different. I slow the noise down and walk through what’s actually being discussed, including the work of French astrologer André Barbault and why long-term planetary cycles often line up with major collective turning points. For me, the headline isn’t fear. It’s a collective choice point, a moment where conditions may be getting more supportive for growth, innovation, and conscious evolution, depending on how we respond. From there, I bring it back to the part we can actually influence: the conditions inside our own lives. Awakening is a natural unfolding, but we can create an environment that supports it. I share the practices that helped me integrate healing in a grounded way, especially somatic healing and nervous system regulation, plus the role of ceremony as a container for grief, endings, and rites of passage. When we stop overriding the body, we get clearer about what’s true, what’s conditioning, and what needs to change. We also explore evolutionary astrology as a practical tool for separating your soul blueprint from the endless “shoulds” pushed by culture. I share an example from my own chart, and then reframe manifestation as conscious co-creation with God or the divine: not forcing outcomes from ego, but becoming so aligned that your life starts reflecting your integrity. If you’ve been feeling the pull to step into your next chapter, I also share why I created my nine-month container, The Calling, and what it looks like to be supported through deep transformation. If this lands, subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next, share it with someone who’s in a transition, and leave a review so more people can find the show. What choice are you being asked to make right now? Alyssa's IG: @wildfemininerise Work With Alyssa: In Service— 1:1 Soul-Led Leadership Mentorship Watch Alyssa's episode on Lead With Heart

Making Sense Of Spiritual Awakening: Maps for the Journey Within

Send us Fan Mail Alyssa shares the three frameworks that gave her language for  her spiritual awakening and helped her stay grounded through uncertainty, intensity, and real-life responsibilities. She keeps returning to one test of the path: does our spirituality make us more embodied, humble, and accountable.  • why language and frameworks reduce fear and isolation during awakening  • awakening as an ongoing relationship shaped by daily choices and integration  • Stan Grof’s spiritual emergency lens and the role of discernment  • somatic work and nervous system support as the bridge from insight to change  • common forms of spiritual emergency, from kundalini symptoms to peak experiences  • psychic opening and intuition, including how urgency can signal fear or trauma  • past life material and the question of healing over certainty  • channeling and guidance measured by responsibility, not spectacle  • near-death experiences and the challenge of returning to ordinary life  • Carl Jung on persona, shadow work, projection, and individuation  • Rudolf Steiner on the middle path between fantasy and reductionism  • spiritual inflation and why humility is non-negotiable on this path  And before we begin, if you're someone who listens regularly to this podcast and you have not had a chance to leave a rating or a review yet, would you please take just a minute to do that?  So if you've been feeling called toward this work, you can find all the details through the link in the show notes.  Alyssa's IG: @wildfemininerise Work With Alyssa: In Service— 1:1 Soul-Led Leadership Mentorship Watch Alyssa's episode on Lead With Heart

Meeting Wetiko: Projection, Possession, and Consciousness

Send us Fan Mail We explore Wetiko as a collective mind virus and how it hides in projection, separation, and the parts of us we refuse to see. We connect Jungian shadow work, addiction as spiritual hunger, and the way awareness and embodiment help us reclaim life force and choose a different path.  • defining wetiko through Paul Levy’s lens as a collective psycho-spiritual blindness  • noticing transmission through projection, othering, scapegoating, and moral certainty  • linking addiction and compulsive behaviour to disconnection and spiritual hunger  • reclaiming creative energy by bringing shadow material into awareness  • distinguishing judgement from discernment and staying protected through being  • naming spiritual superiority, victim-perpetrator dynamics, and groupthink traps  • understanding awakening as descent, not bypassing, with will and somatic healing  • using triggers as information, including envy, resentment, fear, and reactivity  • unpacking polarization, ideological possession, and consumer culture as wetiko fuel  • practising the antidote through humility, curiosity, community, and conscious choice  Reach out to me on Instagram.
