maybe it’s time to underthink it

sometimes we make our problems harder than they need to be by overthinking, trying to control the outcome, and worrying about things we can’t figure out yet. in this episode, i talk about learning to recognize when your thinking stops being helpful, how to stop adding unnecessary stress to your life, and how to be more present with what’s actually happening. thank you for listening! ------------------------------------------ Important Links: TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@samweisbrod_?lang=en Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/samweisbrod__/ Read on Substack: https://presenceofbeing.substack.com/ Watch on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@presenceofbeing Artwork: "Bora bei Brioni" by Paul Ress The Return Challenge (Free 7-Day Present Moment Reset): https://presenceofbeing.gumroad.com/l/thereturnchallenge A Guide to Living In The Moment: https://stan.store/presenceofbeing/p/a-guide-to-living-more-in-the-moment

when nothing has changed but everything feels harder

Sometimes your life doesn’t need to change. You just need to take better care of the person experiencing it. Thank you for listening! how to actually live in the moment (the simple framework i use)

Most of us spend a lot of the day somewhere other than where we actually are, replaying the past or rehearsing the future. In this video I walk through the simple framework I lean on to come back to the moment: you drift, you notice, you return. The free 7-day Return Challenge is a good place to start putting it into practice: https://presenceofbeing.gumroad.com/l/thereturnchallenge A Guide to Living More in the Moment, everything I've learned about presence over the last four years, in one place: https://stan.store/presenceofbeing/p/a-guide-to-living-more-in-the-moment In this video I talk about what it looks like to live in your head, where I am with it now, and why presence isn't about drifting less. It's about noticing faster and coming back gently. I also share how I use a short morning question, a personal meditation practice, and what I call a pocket of presence to practice the same loop in everyday life. the presence of being podcast is also on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@presenceofbeing I write on Substack: https://presenceofbeing.substack.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/samweisbrod__/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@samweisbrod_?lang=en

why you feel like something's missing (even when life is good)

Ever feel like something's missing even when your life looks pretty good from the outside? In this video I talk about why that feeling sticks around no matter how much progress you make, and how it might come from subtly asking your goals to prove you're worthy. I get into what presence and meditation have taught me about this, and how you can keep chasing big things without needing them to make you feel enough. Thank you for listening! you have no idea how quickly your life can change

I think we put way too much weight on the timeline we create in our heads. We look at where we are right now and assume we know how long it’s going to take to get where we want to go. But you really don’t know. Your life can change so much in a year, six months, or even a few weeks. You really have no idea what can happen next. Thank you for listening! your goals are looking down on you

Sometimes we put our goals, success, or the life we want on such a high pedestal that we start seeing ourselves as less than. In this recording, I talk about what happens when we expect achievement to give us something it never could, and why becoming the person who can genuinely enjoy, sustain, and grow with what we achieve matters more than we think. the loneliness of becoming someone new

Growth can be exciting, but it can also be surprisingly lonely. As you change, your relationships, priorities, and even the way you see yourself can change with you. This recording is about navigating that space between who you were and who you’re becoming, without abandoning yourself just to hold onto what’s familiar. Thank you for listening! Love you guys.
