You are quick to condemn all baby boomers as being greedy and selfish.
You neglect the reality that many people in the younger generations are even more entitled than the baby boomer generation.
Not every baby boomer is a millionaire. In fact many are scrapping by, however you are stereotyping all baby boomers into one collective group.
Sure, anyone who has worked for several years or decades will have accumulated more than someone who hasn’t.
Just because someone attended college and received a liberal arts degree is not going to automatically make a million dollars immediately. Everyone has to work and provide a benefit to earn money.
Not sure why you are provoking a generational war?
Yes, social security is a ponzy scheme. Yes, it is unsustainable. Yes, something needs to be done.
Many retirees depend upon social security. Are you advocating kicking grandma to the curb. After all she should have realized that the government program was a ponzy scheme and unsustainable. So what if she gets to spend her last remaining years homeless. At least the younger generations don’t have to grow up and become adults responsible for themselves.
It difficult for younger generations because the value of the dollar has shrunk because the government keeps printing more and more money, spend like a drunken sailor. At the same time, there are so many conveniences and many strive to become influencers instead of productive citizens. There is more stress even if the stress is about needing nonsense.
Life used to be simpler, more merit based and had less safety nets. Most of the baby boomer youth performed physical labor. The younger generations youth barely work and largely rely upon their parents for their livelihoods.
