Encouraging — moderators and guests often acknowledge real therapeutic challenges while articulating their therapeutic growth (that evolved from their own missteps). Relevant (family, individual and couples therapy are interwoven within episodes; young children through teens and adults; and inclusive of diverse populations). Conceptual clarity (episodes include specific tools, explanations and even role-play examples that support experiential learning that a motivated listener could practice deliberately). I’ve found it is so hard to find resources for EFFT, which is why I’m so grateful to have found this podcast. Kathryn and Ronda helped me re conceptualize cases in a way that not only helped me but helped my clients! I am so grateful to have this podcast and a resource and will be following along throughout my EFFT journey.

The Family Express provides relevant perspective, thoughtful exploration, and accessible conceptualizations and interventions for using EFFT in practice. For those trained both formally and informally in the EFFT model, Kathryn and Ronda facilitate a helpful dialogue and heartfelt conversation about using this model in varied clinical contexts. In our clinical team meeting, we listened to episode(s) and engaged in meaningful discussion about how this work applied to our current case conceptualizations and clinical work. The content and honest dialogue between Kathryn and Ronda aligned with our practice values and clinical work, and enhanced our understanding of the attachment-focused work we do as relational psychotherapists and child and family specialists.
