I love Below the Belt but....

First off let me say that I have been listening to this show from the beginning. But honestly it has been somewhere lost along the way. The shows schedule after represents this now:

Comedy dates

Fan questions (a lot less)

Things that have changed alot are Brendan will no longer make fighter picks if he knows them, spoilers, and often references he won’t go over “this material” on “this podcast.” He has so many podcasts now that he picks and chooses.. This is fine but if you don’t drop material on this podcast then what is the point of this show? Please drop showtime, bring Big Brown back!

Schaub has really fallen off

Schaub has really fallen off. I used to be a huge fan of everything schaub did. But along the way his head has gotten so big it has let to a number of different annoying character flaws. Far too many to list in this review. This show has just irked me lately I find myself mentally correcting all of the missteps and false information that spews out of his mouth.

Showtime bought Brendan’s soul

15 minutes of fight talk, 15 minutes of ads, and the rest of show is awkward transitions to get to ads or fight talk. If you love ads and a combat sports podcast that’s barely about combat sports anymore you’ve found it! My review is tainted by my bias of being an early TFATK fan and hearing them talk about not selling out then two years later Schaub hides info from podcasts to bring traffic, ad revenue, and engagement to others and Callen only wants to act while putting comedy and podcasts on backburner.
