Wedding Registry Do’s And Dont’s
This week, Jordana and Nicole are back and they kick things off with a few wedding planning updates! Nicole is just a few months out from her wedding and talks about what’s on her mind as she getting into crunch time, including the invitations, the wedding wardrobe, and final venue details. Then, Jordana and Nicole dive in to the week’s topic, giving their thoughts on wedding registries and a few ideas on how to approach it. They also list a few of their favorite registry items on their own lists and why they decided to include them. They even ponder the age old question of what are standing mixers even used for? Then, it’s time for the emails for the week. First, a bride writes in about the bizarre experience of a completely random person buying them one of the gifts from the wedding registry as random act of kindness. How do you even respond to that? Should your wedding registry be private? Then, another listener writes in about communicating to her makeup artist that she didn’t like her make-up trial. What’s the best way to tell them that she wants something completely different without being rude? After that, another bride writes in about noticing her fiancés receding hairline and wondering if she should offer solutions or just let nature take its course. What’s the best way of approaching telling your partner something about their appearance? They finish off the episode with another round of Unpopular Opinions, this time about the first look, open seating receptions, and reading speeches on your phone.

First, a bride writes in about gift-giving for her family. Is there a rule of thumb for how much to spend on a gift for your parents? Do you need to get your groom’s parents gifts even if they aren’t really involved? After that, a Maid of Honor writes in about having to deal with multiple people bailing on the destination bachelorette party after she’s already paid for it. Is it acceptable to still expect them to pay for the weekend since they cancelled last minute? Then, another bride writes in who’s doing her best to avoid people pleasing in her wedding planning, but is having a hard time letting down a friend who named her as the maid of honor for her own wedding. What’s the best way of breaking the news that she will not be her Maid of Honor? Finally, Jordana and Nicole welcome Betches pop culture expert Dylan Hafer for a few rounds of celebrity wedding trivia! Helpful and entertainment for anyone planning or attending a wedding
I love this podcast so much! The only good thing about Mondays—at least when there’s no Bachelor—is a new episode of Betches Brides. Nicole and Jordana are going through the wedding planning process themselves and they’ve attended their fair share of weddings AND they poll the Instagram audience, so they really have their finger on the pulse of what’s happening in the industry. Nicole books amazing guests who are both entertaining and informative, but I also love the episodes without guests. If I could give more than five stars, I would!
Is Jordana well?
She sounds like she can’t be bothered and couldn’t care less about this podcast. Nicole is doing the most.
Liked it at first but not so much anymore
I enjoy many of the Betches podcasts and liked listening to this one at first. The episodes with Taylor hosting were great and I went back and listened to all of those! I think Jordana is awesome and gives great advice (also love U Up?) but Nicole personally just annoys me now. She usually gives a bad opinion and then falls on Jordana for a better answer. You can tell when she gives advice first it’s never well structured and it is never anything I would follow personally. On the other hand, Jordana always comes through with good answers. I listen mostly for her and not for Nicole. Nicole is also just super negative all the time - I get that it’s comedy but it honestly doesn’t fall well with most of your audience.
