Don’t Listen to Us is an advice show for advice-skeptics and wisdom-lovers, hosted by Mandy Patinkin, Kathryn Grody, and their son Gideon. Legendary actor Mandy (The Princess Bride, Homeland, Criminal Minds) is the consummate entertainer who shoots from the hip, stage actress Kathryn is the thoughtful connector who sees all the nuance, and Gideon is the brave soul keeping them on track (or at least trying). Together, Mandy and Kathryn have 40+ years of marriage, 140+ years of life experience, and a series of viral social media posts where Gideon interviews them and watches both chaos and wisdom ensue. After finally watching Homeland over the past couple months, where I’d grown very fond of Saul Berenson and didn’t want to let him go, I discovered this podcast, and it’s another Lemonada balm for my soul (Wiser, anyone?). I know Mandy isn’t Saul, but also know that Saul would not have been Saul without Mandy. Turns out I was right! Now I get to continue hearing (but not listening to) Mandy and got to discover his wife and one of his children who are each fabulous in their own right. This family is sweet, funny, wise, and quirky. This pod is soothing and comforting and funny and homey. All thumbs up and more than 5 stars.

Roasting is done at a higher temperature than baking. Roasting is done at 400°F or higher. Baking is done at 400°F or lower. With roasting you are trying to get a caramelized, crispy exterior.
