Existential Stoic Podcast

Thank you guys for helping me get my life back on track. I decided to deep dive existentialism a few months ago to help me get through my own life issues. In the process I have discovered this podcast, which also introduced me to stoicism. While I am still a work in progress, the amount of headway I’ve made in the right direction is because of Danny and Randy. With their teachings, I’m now doing things to make me happy and relying on myself to make what to make happen to actually come true! A very sincere thank you from myself to you two!

Overall, it seems like two guys chatting about things, and sometimes it feels like rambling or not on topic.

I gave this show a couple of chances but ultimately unsubscribed after the most recent episode. The conversation really did not seem to have much to do with either existentialism or stoicism. It sounded instead like two 15 year old edge lords, saying things like “There’s no such thing as truth”, and “All authority is bad”. The hosts are likable enough and don’t feel like they are trying to sell you something, but I ultimately was looking for a discussion that was a bit more nuanced and intelligent than this. The sound quality could also use some work; one mike was crystal clear while the other host sounded muffled and quiet, which did not make for a great listening experience.

I listen to these guys everyday.
