A brilliantly captivating journey worth experiencing
What a beautifully written, flawlessly paced, and often relatable story this podcast tells. On more than one occasion I found myself totally engrossed in the soothing voice of Anita as she navigates you through her journey. Definitely worth 3.5 hours of your time!
Redefines the narrative fiction podcast genre
Kate & co. have managed to walk the line between art piece and impact. It’s a display of strength in storytelling and audio production. But more importantly, it speaks humbly and lovingly to the heart of anyone struggling with or impacted by addiction. It’s cathartic, really. I’m incredibly proud to have lent some music to this show, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
Inventive. Informative. Honest.
This podcast was WAY more than I thought I wanted. Full disclosure, I anticipated I would be supporting some artists I love in their quarantine endeavors and maybe have some fun along the way. What actually happened? Well, yes I did support them by listening but I had no idea how much I would fall in love with this. Wednesday could not come soon enough each week. It was wonderful hearing some voices I’d been missing but the story kept sucking me in. I found myself evaluating my own life decisions, how I approach hardships and struggles, how I approach my relationship with alcohol, how I approach relationships in general... I went through it every week. It’s a horribly creative way to breach the topic of alcoholism while still being honest and intriguing. Even if you have never struggled with alcohol, this is a wonderful story to experience. Do your ears, your mind, and your soul a favor and give it a listen. Cannot wait for season 2!
