612- 10 Years Later…This Is NOT How I Thought My Life Would Turn Out

Ten years ago, I pressed record without knowing where any of this would take me. And baby…this is NOT how I thought my life would turn out. 😂 After 10 years of podcasting, a million's worth of downloads, listeners around the world, career changes, relationships, losses, wins, pivots, becoming a wife, becoming a mother, and becoming several different versions of myself along the way, I wanted to sit down and talk about it. This isn't your typical “10 lessons from 10 years" episode. No "secrets from a master plan", either. Just an honest conversation about who I was when I started, what this podcast gave me, what these years taught me, and the woman behind the microphone today. In this 10-year anniversary episode, I’m talking about the things I couldn't have known when I started, the parts of myself I've outgrown, what I believe now, and what I want to carry into the next decade. Some answers came directly from your questions! Because apparently, A LOT can happen in ten years! And by the grace of God… we're still here. Thank you for listening, sharing, growing, laughing, healing, and evolving with me. Happy 10 years to us. 🥂 FILL OUT THE PODCAST SURVEY HERE: https://forms.gle/adxbnMAeejfApM1T7 Join my email list: spiritualhomegirl.ck.page/email Subscribe to Spiritual Homegirl’s YouTube here: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UClfzaF9Vr-xEPh9WBaEBhww?sub_confirmation=1 Follow me on IG: https://www.instagram.com/spiritualhomegirl/ Follow Make Peace With the Day: https://instagram.com/makepeacewiththeday Check me out on Facebook: https://m.facebook.com/SpiritualHomegirl/ Disclaimer: This podcast is for educational and entertainment purposes only. 611- They Can Steal the Sauce, But It'll Never Taste the Same

Someone can copy the idea, study the formula, or try to steal the sauce, but similar still doesn’t mean the same. In Episode 611, we talk about embracing what makes you unique, focusing less on external competition, and asking a harder question: what are you doing that may be getting in the way of the success and abundance you deserve? We also reflect on the wonderful changes happening as the podcast approaches Year 10, plus new opportunities to work with me through speaking and other offers. Your lane still has room for you. 607 – You Don't Know Me Like That (Pt 2): Jemele Hill's Two-Sentence Lesson on Boundaries

Building on Part 1 from episode 606, Maria breaks down a powerful yet practical real-life example of assertiveness after journalist Jemele Hill responded to an online critic in just two sentences. Sometimes the strongest boundaries simply require knowing who you are and standing on it; no long explanation needed. 606: You Don't Know Me Like That! (Pt 1): When We Mistake Intuition for Authority

Not everyone deserves a front-row seat to your identity, especially when they think they know it better than you do! In episode 606, Maria ponders why people sometimes speak with confidence about lives they don't truly know, the difference between intuition and assumption (and even insecurity), and why knowing who you "belong to" makes it easier to reject misplaced authority. Now is the perfect time to stop receiving outside narratives that were never meant for you to accept.
