Have you ever spent hours looking for something you simply lost? How about a hundred years? How about looking for a missing airplane? Or a vanished civilization? Every other Monday, Gone searches for everything lost. From D. B. Cooper to the Holy Grail, the Etruscan language to early Russian cosmonauts; if it disappeared, we’re looking. After all, just because something is gone, doesn’t mean it can’t be found. Gone is a production of Cutler Media and part of the Parcast Network.

Eclectic

The range of topics is what I love most about this podcast. Not just true crime or weird history, but a deep dive into anything that can disappear. Looking forward to the episode about my bank balance.

Great podcast, very informative

Soothing voices make listening a breeze, but the topics are also very interesting and well researched. The hosts are very honest about what they know, where information comes from, and keeping opinions separate from facts. Highly recommend listening

Informative but unfair

Presents a wide variety of information but can sometimes be unfair in some regards. They tend to be rather presentist in their views of historical events and behaviors, particularly in the Dodo episode. They throw many modern environmental judgments on people of the past with very poor explanation as to why they thought the way they did. As an environmental historian, I find this to be misleading and annoying.
