    Should Women be LIMITED or UNLIMITED IN CHURCH? Dr. Cynthia Hester found out.

    Her boss at church told her to STOP TEACHING WOMEN IN CHURCH on Sunday mornings! The church board was unanimous in its decision. Learn their three reasons and her response to being stopped that Sunday. This is the Dr. Cynthia Hester Story on The Eden Podcast!  She began to research the biblical basis of lack of biblical grounds for the damaging step the church had taken. Her steps since then have retraced the steps of The Apostle Paul and the early centuries of church leadership!. Dr. Cynthia Hester teaches, writes, and speaks on topics of faith and women, both women in the Bible and church history. In 2014, she began questioning her value as a female and her place in the church. It became vital to her to understand what the Bible says about women. So, she enrolled in a deep-dive seminary course on foundations of women in ministry, and continues to passionately study this topic. She has studied Koine Greek, traveled to Israel, Italy, Greece, and Ireland to research women in ministry in the early church. She earned a master’s degree and a doctorate at Dallas Theological Seminary. Cynthia is a contributing author to the award-winning book 40 Questions About Women in Ministry (Kregel, 2023). She writes a bi-monthly newsletter Querying Questions, and she writes for the women’s leadership blog at Bible.org.  In 2021, Cynthia founded Theology of Women Academy®. In her online academy, she teaches Christ-followers, including ministry leaders, the spectrum of orthodox views on women and the church to equip them to develop their beliefs—their theology of women.     From harships to presidency of Northern Seminary - Dr. Ingrid Faro

    Author of the book, Redeeming Eden: How Women in the Bible Advance the Story of Salvation, shares with us her insights and much more! Dr. Ingrid Faro was born in Sweden and grew up in the Chicago area. She is Interim President and Professor of Old Testament at Northern Seminary . She previously served as Dean of Academic Affairs at Northern, Dean of Theology at the Scandinavian School of Theology in Sweden, and Director of Masters Programs at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where she also taught Hebrew and Old Testament.  Ingrid is an international speaker and is also the author of Demystifying Evil, co-author of Honest Answers, Evil in Genesis, co-author of forthcoming volume As We Forgive: A Biblical Theology of Forgiveness, as well as author of numerous articles, chapters, and reviews. Prior to her work in theological education, Ingrid was an entrepreneur and president of an insurance consulting group serving 1,000 agents in 35 states. Ingrid has two children and four grandchildren. Widowed since 2003. She loves deep conversations with family, friends, and strangers, outdoor sports, time in nature, and fitness boot camp.     Dr. Jo Anne Lyon was the first woman leader of her 110 country denomination!

    She was horrified at the war crimes occurring in an out of the way West African nation. To raise awareness of the need she got on a plane and trusted God to provide the help she would need. God multiplied her story in the Washington Post newspaper and moved the heart of an American President to send help! Later, she was elected as General Superintendent of The Wesleyan Church, a denomination with churches in 110 countries! Time and again she followed God's leading.     The serpent appeared when we studied Genesis 3:15! A true story from the Congo.

    As we prayed a serpent started slithering toward our bare feet! I got up silently and followed it around the house. Then I saw a rock the size of a snowball. ...
