Give yourself permission
To just let go for a few minutes–
To relax and regroup–
To just unwind.
PAUSE
Breathe, and let any distracting thoughts,
Evaporate into the air,
Leaving you open and tranquil,
And free from cares.
PAUSE
Anxiety is that emotion
That can throw you off your game.
It’s like a rodeo horse,
That you hold onto,
But that finally kicks you off.
PAUSE
It can knit knot after knot
In your core,
Flush you with heat,
Send your heart racing,
And even make you
Feel sick to your stomach.
PAUSE
So, breathe.
Breathe deep into your core.
Lift your arms,
And expand your chest,
So more calming, relaxing air,
Fills your being.
PAUSE
Now, imagine, if you can,
Visualizing that anxiety.
What color is it?
Does it have a human image,
Or something else.
Whatever form it takes,
Visualize it in front of you.
PAUSE
Take a deep breath,
And look straight at your anxiety.
And, as you do,
Hear the words,
“I accept you”
Whispered in your ear.
Let the words repeat.
Then breathe again.
PAUSE
Now, look again at your anxiety.
Has it changed any?
And, as you look at your anxiety,
Hear the words,
“I love myself with or without you,”
Whispered in your ear.
Let the words repeat.
Then breathe again.
PAUSE
Now, look again at your anxiety.
Has it changed any?
And, as you look at your anxiety,
Hear the words,
“I trust the Universe to work things out,”
Whispered in your ear.
Let the words repeat.
Then breathe again.
PAUSE
Now, breathe in and out,
Until your core is light,
And filled with relaxing air.
And, as you start your day,
Remember this to deal
with your anxiety:
I breathe.
I accept.
I love.
I trust.
They will be with you,
any time you need them.

Let your body ease into
a deep, comfortable relaxation.
Allow yourself to just sit with it.
PAUSE
Now, take a deep breath.
and, as you breathe,
feel the relaxation,
unfold throughout you.
Just enjoy the feeling.
PAUSE
As you go through life,
there are times
when you just feel down.
It happens to everyone.
PAUSE
So, take a moment,
and visualize
one of those times
like you were a
distant observer.
Simply observe.
Avoid judging yourself.
PAUSE
As you observe this time,
in your life,
thoughts may arise.
Stay centered,
and again, just acknowledge them
and avoid judgment.
PAUSE
Now, take a deep breath,
and let yourself be
bathed in gratitude.
Gratitude for your strength.
Gratitude for your healing.
Gratitude for where
you are now,
or for the path you're following.
Hold onto the gratitude.
PAUSE
Breathe.
And allow yourself to feel your body.
Then, imagine letting yourself
be healed by gratitude.
How does it feel when
bathed in
and healed with gratitude?
Capture a snapshot
of that feeling
in your body,
and hold onto it.
PAUSE
Now, return to your awareness
to the present.
And, as you do,
open some mental and emotional space
for self-compassion.
Let yourself express some
love and compassion to you!
And, as you feel that love and compassion,
give thanks for them,
for they are yours
anytime you need them,
anytime you feel down.
Now and always.

Whose babies are new,
Who sleeplessly hold your sweet ones.
May you find rest,
And know in your soul,
You can handle whatever comes.

To all of you moms,
Who have little kids,
Whose values you’re trying to mold.
I know it is heavy,
But Divine is right here,
Helping you to carry the load.
PAUSE
To all of you mothers,
Deep in the teens,
Doing your best to survive.
Keep showing up,
As the mother they need,
And watch as they thrive.
PAUSE
To all of you mamas,
Whose kids are grown up,
Carving out paths all alone.
It can be tough,
As you learn to let go,
And let them live lives of their own.
PAUSE
To all of you souls,
Who have said goodbye,
To your mother whose time had come.
That hole will remain,
Inside of you,
Grief braids itself in who you become.
PAUSE
Breathe and relax,
I deeply honor you.
Breathe and sink in,
To your motherly truth.

Feel your motherly essence,
Swirl with the past,
With the women who’ve mothered your soul.
Let it surround you,
As you mother your own,
Beautiful mama, you are whole.

There is sweet comfort,
Knowing there is,
An invisible, unspoken bond.
Between all us moms,
Who won’t judge or pry,
We’ll do anything to bring calm.

So imagine your kids,
And your mother too,
And all of the mamas around.
We’re connected with love,

The magic is truly profound.

Take a deep breath,
and in the back of your mind,
hear a gentle drum beating softly.
PAUSE
As you listen to the drum,
let it lull you into relaxation.
let it calm you.
let it find your internal rhythm,
and align with it.
PAUSE
And, now imagine as the drum beats,
a pearl white buffalo appears in the distance.
It’s misty, ethereal, and magical in its beauty.
PAUSE
Take a deep breath,
and as you exhale,
see if you can visualize the buffalo
transforming into a woman.
A woman with dark hair and eyes,
and draped in white buffalo robes.
PAUSE
When she approaches you,
she reaches out and touches your forehead.
As her fingers alight on you,
visions of ancestors
sweep through your mind.
in a single second,
visions of the most important women
in your life now and before,
are there with you.
PAUSE
Draw in a deep breath of gratitude
as the White Buffalo Calf Woman
connects your past to your present.
PAUSE
The White Buffalo Calf Woman
begins to fade into the distance.
But before she goes,
she gifts you with an ethereal pipe,
a sacred pipe of peace and unity.
PAUSE
And, as she disappears into the mist,
you hold the ethereal pipe and pray,
knowing that forever more,
you are connected to all things,
and all things are connected to you.

Take a moment to connect to yourself,
to feel the seen and unseen parts of you.
to know your consciousness
and simultaneous awareness
of past, present, and future.

Breathe in deeply,
And let your breath
bring life to all
parts of you being.
PAUSE
Breathe in again,
and as you do,
imagine being in the presence
of Mother Mary.
PAUSE
As you draw close,
her aura envelopes you
with pure, unconditional love,
the love of a Universal Mother.
PAUSE
Take a moment
and bask in the love.
Feel her unbounded compassion
for you. For all.
Feel her nurturing your soul.
Feel her healing embrace of you.
Let it infuse you.
PAUSE
As she enfolds you in her essence,
your own Inner Mother is awakened.
That part of you loves you.
That part of you that takes care of you.
That part of you that sometimes,
you ignore.
With Mother Mary’s touch,
it is alive and flowing through you.
PAUSE
So, take a moment and breathe deeply,
and as you do,
let a prayer come to you,
a prayer of gratitude for your Inner mother.
Thank Mother Mary.
Thank your Inner Mother.
PAUSE
And, as your awareness returns to the now,
Remember that the essence of Mother Mary
Is all around and in you.
You are blessed with your own Inner Mother,
Forever and ever.

And, with each inhalation,
visualize a peaceful, powerful life force
breathing into you.
PAUSE
Keep breathing.
And center yourself
with this peaceful, powerful energy
settling in your core,
and radiating outward.
PAUSE
As you continue breathing,
allow yourself to see an image
of a beautiful woman
with flowing white robes.
She is seated on a pink lotus,
with an elephant by her side,
and you notice a jar of pure water
in one hand,
and in the other,
the single branch
of a willow tree.
PAUSE
Her goddess energy looms in the air.
Let yourself connect with it.
Her serenity embraces you.
Let yourself feel that serenity.
Her mercy touches you.
Let yourself feel that mercy.
PAUSE
Without saying a word,
she tells you
she is Kwan Yin.
PAUSE
After a moment,
Kwan Yin reaches out
with her graceful hand and
touches your heart
with the willow branch.
A flash of openness
sweeps through you,
And like the willow branch,
You have been flexible.
In life, you have bent,
and you have not broken,
no matter how hard the challenge.
PAUSE
In that moment,
you take a deep breath,
knowing that this goddess
sees you,
really sees you.
And that she shares
her boundless empathy
with you.
How are you feeling?
Reflect on knowing
this goddess sees you,
knows your pains,
and loves you
Endlessly.
PAUSE
After a moment,
Kwan Yin bows to you,
and vanishes into
the softness of the air.
PAUSE
So, take a moment and breathe deeply,
and as you do,
bring those feelings into your present.
Bring the awareness that you are loved endlessly
into your being.
And hold it there,
as you move into this day,
and all other days of your life.
