    155. Parent Like He's In The Room

    This episode is taking you through the foundation of your identity in these moments and to be mindful of the "IF" that limits you in the hard moments. Your entire internal atmosphere changes when you move like God is watching you. Suddenly there's peace and surrender in the places you wrestled with perfection, people pleasing and approval of others. Imagine you're in the room with your close family and friends and "everyone else's" kids were playing, using manners and doing the "right" behavior for the room.     153. Regulation Without Punishment, Here's What My Family Does

    Teaching regulation to my children feels incredibly difficult at times. It challenges me, stretches my patience and requires more attention than I knew I had to give. AND, seeing them take deep breaths when they feel upset, guide their brother to breathe and start doing 20 burpees without me even asking- IS WELL WORTH IT.     151. The Damage and Deceit of "Delayed Obedience is Disobedience."

    I've been told "delayed obedience is disobedience" like it's a favorite line from a popular song since posting this reel. It got me thinking about the rush and urgency parents put themselves and their children in. It's certainly a catchy line and I can confidently say it is not biblical. Come explore where I have found the Bible praises pause, what could have gone differently and what Jesus would possibly do in our shoes. I believe teaching our children to exercise discernment, regulate emotions, pray for clarity and ask question IS our job.
