It wasn’t until I faced a couple valleys of my own that I was able to realize that in order to develop the spiritual disciplines and habits that kept me on the path to seeking God - and hearing from Him - it would require seeking Him on a daily basis so I can continue to grow in my relationship with Him.     You Don’t Need to Know the Outcome to Move Forward in Faith | Genesis 43:1-18

    Hey Sis 💛 Sometimes you reach a point where you can’t avoid the next step anymore. Today we’re continuing Joseph’s story in Genesis 43:1–18, where Jacob and his sons are standing in front of the very situation they had hoped they could avoid. The famine is still going. The food is running out. Benjamin has to go. And fear is telling them everything that could go wrong. But something shifts when Jacob finally reaches the end of what he can control. He prays. Sis, there are moments when surrender becomes the only way forward. And while we may not know what’s waiting on the other side of that step, we can trust that God is already there. So keep praying. Keep trusting. And don’t allow fear of the unknown to keep you from moving forward in faith.     Trust God With What You’re Afraid to Lose | Genesis 42:25-38

    Hey Sis 💛 Sometimes what feels like everything working against you is actually God working behind the scenes. Today we’re continuing Joseph’s story in Genesis 42:25–38, and this time we’re looking at Jacob. He’s already experienced deep loss. So when it looks like he may lose something else, his response is understandable: Hold tighter. Protect more. Don’t risk anything. Sis, sometimes our desire for control isn’t really about control at all. Sometimes it’s fear. Fear of losing again. Fear of being disappointed again. Fear of trusting God with something precious after we’ve already been hurt. But Jacob couldn’t see what we can see reading the story: God was already making a way. Maybe the invitation today is to loosen our grip just a little and trust the One who can see what we cannot.     Hurt by Someone You Love? God May Be Working on Your Heart Too | Genesis 42:1-24

    Hey Sis 💛 Sometimes healing requires more than one heart to change. Today we’re continuing Joseph’s story in Genesis 42, where he comes face to face with the very brothers who betrayed him, sold him into slavery, and changed the course of his life. And yet, Joseph doesn’t immediately reveal who he is. He waits. His brothers begin confronting what they had done years earlier, and then something happens that I don’t want us to miss: Joseph weeps. Because while God was working on their hearts, He was still doing a work in Joseph’s heart too. Sis, sometimes we can become so focused on what God needs to change in somebody else that we forget to ask what He may still be healing, refining, or releasing in us.     Trust God’s Timing Even When the Waiting Feels Too Long | Genesis 41:41-57

    Hey Sis 💛 God can feel slow…right up until He moves fast. Today we’re continuing Joseph’s story in Genesis 41:41–57, where after years of betrayal, slavery, false accusation, prison, and waiting, Joseph’s life changes almost overnight. One moment, he’s in prison. The next, Pharaoh puts him second in command over all of Egypt. But Sis, what looked sudden had actually been years in the making. God had been preparing Joseph, positioning Joseph, growing Joseph, and aligning every detail long before Joseph could see what any of it was producing. And maybe that’s the reminder you need today: The waiting doesn’t mean God isn’t working. Your slow season may still be part of His preparation for what comes next. So keep trusting.     Give God Glory Before You See the Outcome | Genesis 41:1-40

And when Joseph is given the opportunity to show what he can do, he says something powerful: “I cannot do it…but God will give Pharaoh the answer.” Sis, that’ll preach. After betrayal.     God Can Use You Before Your Circumstances Change | Genesis 40

    Hey Sis 💛 You do not have to wait for perfect circumstances to use what God has given you. Today we’re continuing Joseph’s story in Genesis 40, where Joseph is still in prison, still waiting, and yet still available for God to use. When two men come to him with dreams they don’t understand, Joseph doesn’t take the credit for himself. He tells them: “Interpreting dreams is God’s business.” Sis, there’s something powerful about knowing that the gift may flow through you without ever belonging to you. And sometimes faithfulness looks like serving right where you are, even when you’re still praying for God to change where you are. You don’t have to control the outcome.     You Don’t Have to Understand It to Know God Is With You | Genesis 39:19-23

    Hey Sis 💛 Sometimes obedience still leaves you asking: God…make it make sense. Today we’re finishing Genesis 39, where Joseph does the right thing, refuses temptation, honors God…and still ends up falsely accused and thrown into prison. Not exactly the outcome we’d expect from obedience, right? But tucked inside this part of Joseph’s story is a reminder we cannot miss: “The Lord was with Joseph.” His location changed. His circumstances changed. The way people viewed him changed. But God’s presence did not. Sis, there may be things happening in your life right now that simply do not make sense from where you’re standing.     What's Your Evacuation Plan for Temptation as a Woman of God? | Genesis 39:1-18

Today we’re continuing Joseph’s story in Genesis 39:1–18, where we see him prospering in Potiphar’s house, gaining trust, and then facing a temptation that keeps coming back day after day.
