I really wanted to like this guy. I listened to him as a guest on some other podcasts and thought he was insightful, smart, and empathetic. But listening to him on the regular makes it so much harder to like him. His over-inflated ego quickly becomes obnoxious. He has a camera on himself only (the co-host/producer is just a disembodied voice who gets no credit, never even heard him named), talks about how great he is, and like he’s God's gift to the legal field. That's on top of the constant labelling himself as ‘#1 Divorce Lawyer’/World’s #1 Lawyer/#1 Lawyer’, which is often enough to assume that he's had it trademarked as opposed to actually earned somehow.
I've listened to and watched maybe a dozen episodes and the hypocrisy is staggering. He doesn't like when issues are gendered but has no problem doing it himself so that women are made to look like the primary problem in any given issue while men are hapless victims. Claims to not like hyperbole but used it often and even refers to his private practice as a military with himself as a General. Is very quick to call people out on things he obviously does himself (calling out 'attention seekers' like he's not a major one).
Any insight, knowledge, or entertainment I hoped for was minimal and scattered among rants between Sexton and his invisible co-host about how hot some famous women are. Seriously, it's like listening to twelve year old boys talk, complete with pre-pubescent voice breaks.
If you're expecting the same version of Sexton you get on other podcasts, one who seems balanced, thoughtful, and compassionate, you won't find him here.
