Life Notes

Megan Marie

Life Notes is a voice-note–style podcast for thoughtful people in the middle of figuring things out about themselves, their relationships, and what really matters. Hosted by Megan Marie, Life Notes offers short, honest reflections that feel more like a voice memo to a friend than a performance. These are the things that don’t make it to Instagram. The unfiltered thoughts, soft questions, and little bits of clarity that show up while brushing your teeth, walking to the coffee shop, or sitting in the sun. It’s for the ones who feel deeply, who overthink everything, who are learning to trust themselves again. For the ones outgrowing old versions of themselves and soft-launching new ones. For anyone craving a moment of quiet honesty in a loud world. There’s no theme music or polished advice. It's just a place to slow down and listen in. Always raw and always real.

#32 Better Sleep for a Good Sex Life

In this episode, I talk about why sleep might be one of the most overlooked foundations of intimacy, connection, and overall well-being. The conversation around our latest mouth tape launch is deeper, than simply sleep. It's about how the way we care for our bodies, especially through rest, quietly shapes how we show up in our relationships. I share my perspective on sleep as a core pillar of health, how it impacts everything from mood to desire, and why creating intentional evening routines can change not just how you sleep, but how you live and connect. This is an invitation to think about your nights differently. Not just as something to get through, but as something that supports the life and relationships you desire. Key Themes: Sleep is one of the most powerful pillars of health The way you rest directly affects your mood, energy, and relationships Intimacy isn’t separate from wellness Evening routines matter more than just what happens right before bed Small, consistent habits can completely shift how you feel day to day Taking care of yourself allows you to show up better for others Mouth Tape as an analog wellness habit that can have a big impact Sponsored by: This episode is supported by my integrative counseling and coaching practice. My work is a blend of coaching, counseling, and wellness, designed to meet you where you are and help you move forward in a way that feels aligned. If you’re looking for a space to talk things through, reconnect with yourself, or navigate a transition in your life or relationships, you can reach out to learn more or book a session. I’d love to work with you. :) It’s also supported by Common Confidential, my intimate wellness brand. #31 You Already Know What You Want. This Is What’s Missing

This episode about one of the many layers I work on with my clients. The work I do with you can be done alone and this is one idea that we work on together- courage and gumption. Both are necessary when we’re growing, changing, and trying to build a life that feels like ours. I talk about the difference between courage and gumption and how they work together. This isn’t about big, loud bravery. It’s about the quiet moments where you choose to listen to yourself, say the thing, take the step, or move toward something that feels uncertain. The life you want is often on the other side of those small, honest, courageous decisions and learning to trust yourself enough to act on them. Key Themes: Courage versus gumption Growth requires both honesty with yourself and willingness to act You can build courage through small, everyday moments Not all courage is loud Fear and anxiety don’t disappear, but courage can grow alongside them The things you’re drawn to are not random. They’re pointing you somewhere Your life changes when you start acting on what you already know Work With Me: If this is the kind of work you’re in right now, I offer integrative counseling and coaching that helps you sort through all of it. My approach is personal, flexible, and built around you. We look at your life as a whole and work through layers to piece it back together in a way that feels aligned and honest. #30 Living Cleaner Without Overcomplicating Your Life

This episode is a mix of something simple and something deeper. I share a bit about my recent love for sourdough and how small, grounding habits like making bread can reconnect us to community, care, and intention in everyday life. I get into non-toxic living and what that looks like for me, but also in a way that you can take inspiration from if you're starting from the beginning.  I talk about what it means to live a lower-toxin lifestyle, why it matters for your health, and how to begin without trying to change everything at once. This is about simplifying, not adding more. It’s about making small, thoughtful shifts that support your body, your home, and your overall well-being. Key Themes: Non-toxic living doesn’t have to be overwhelming Small changes over time create a meaningful lifestyle shift Simplicity often leads to better health and less consumption Many “clean” products are marketing, not better for you Supporting hormones and long term health Work With Me: If you’re in a season where you’re trying to take better care of yourself, whether physically, emotionally, or just overall that is the work I do with my clients.  My work blends life, health, relationships, and self-trust into a personalized approach that’s built around you. It’s a space to think clearly, process honestly, and make changes that feel aligned. #29 You Don’t Have to Wait to Start Your Next Chapter

This episode is a bit of a catch-up, but underneath it, it’s really about something deeper...connection, how we spend our time, and the moments that remind us what matters. I talk about a weekend with my best friend and how meaningful simple, analog moments can be. From there, I get into how I’ve been thinking about my next phase of life, what I actually want, and the realization that I don’t want to wait on certain things anymore. This episode is about noticing what feels good, honoring what you want, and being willing to move toward it even if it doesn’t look exactly how you once imagined. Key Themes The value of slow, analog connection Quality vs. quantity in friendships How life moves in cycles: rest, growth, and change Letting your desires evolve instead of holding onto old versions of the plan Not waiting for the “right person” to start building the life you want The importance of having a personal vision that guides your decisions Sponsored by: If you’re in a season where you’re questioning what’s next, feeling a shift, or trying to understand what you actually want, I offer integrative counseling and coaching to help you work through that. My approach is personal, intuitive, and tailored to you. We look at your life as a whole- your relationships, your patterns, your health, your emotional world—and figure out what direction feels right and how to move toward it. 5. #28 Your Values are Allowed to Evolve

    May 13

#28 Your Values are Allowed to Evolve

This episode is a reflection on values. Something we all have, but don't often think deeply about. This episode explores what happens when you go against your values. Because it’s something we all do. Instead of seeing those moments as failures or reasons to shame ourselves, I see them as signals. As moments that are trying to show us something deeper or something we might be avoiding, something that needs to shift, or that we are being asked to grow. Most importantly I talk about how values aren’t meant to be rigid or perfect. They’re allowed to evolve as you evolve. And sometimes the moments where we feel the most out of alignment are actually the ones that bring us closer to understanding ourselves. This is about learning how to look at yourself with more honesty and less judgment. To use your values as guidance, not punishment. And to trust that even when you get it wrong, there’s still something there for you to learn. Key Themes The difference between values and morals Values act as your internal compass What it really means when you go against your values Moving from self-shame into self-reflection Values as opportunities for growth, not perfection Letting your values evolve as you grow Learning to respond to yourself with respect instead of judgment Sponsored By: This episode is supported by my integrative counseling work. This is the space where we look at things like this more deeply- your patterns, values, decisions, and how you actually want to live your life. Not in a rigid or prescriptive way, but in a way that helps you understand yourself and move forward with clarity. If you’ve been feeling out of alignment, hard on yourself, or unsure about what direction to take, this is exactly the kind of work we can walk through together. I have a few open spots right now and would love to connect if it feels like a fit. 6. #27 How to Support Yourself When You’re Doing It Alone

    May 6

#27 How to Support Yourself When You’re Doing It Alone

This episode is about what it actually looks like to support yourself when you’re doing really big things alone. Not just enjoying solitude or choosing independence, but the deeper experience of moving through life changes, decisions, and responsibilities without someone right beside you. The kind of things we often imagine we’ll do with a partner, but end up navigating on our own. I talk about the difference between being alone and feeling alone, and how those two experiences can show up very differently depending on what you’re going through. This is also about learning how to hold yourself through those seasons. Finding your “why,” creating space to process your emotions, knowing when to lean into solitude, and when to lean on the right people. It builds something deeper in self-trust, confidence, and a kind of quiet resilience that only comes from living it. If you’re in a season where life feels big and you’re carrying a lot on your own, this episode is a reminder that you can do it. One step at a time. And that supporting yourself is something you can learn. Key Themes: The difference between doing things alone vs. feeling alone Why having a strong “why” makes hard things easier to carry Learning when to step inward vs. when to lean on others How to find the right support (not just more support) The growth that comes from navigating life independently Letting old routines, relationships, and habits evolve Taking big things one step at a time instead of all at once Building self-trust through lived experience Sponsored by: This episode is supported by my integrative coaching practice. This is the space where you don’t have to carry everything alone. Where you can talk through the big decisions, the in-between moments, and the things that feel hard to sort out on your own. My approach is very personal and integrative. We look at your life as a whole and work through what you need, not a one-size-fits-all plan. If you’re in a season where life feels big, heavy, or unclear, this is a place to process it with someone who can meet you there. You can reach out to book or learn more anytime. :) Connect: To connect with Me  follow @iammeganmarieee Shop My Intimate Product Line Common Confidential For more writing and my Sunday Newsletter join my Substack Life Notes on Instagram Read More on Common Confidential Shop my Amazon page HERE and my LTK page HERE Work With Me

#26 The Small Wins That Change Everything

You get a lot of life catchup in this episode, but this episode is also about creating small, intentional wins in your life that help you feel supported, especially during seasons that feel heavy. When bigger parts of life feel out of your control, these smaller, self-created moments of progress can shift your energy and rebuild your confidence. I talk about how to identify what a “win” actually looks like for you, how to make it realistic and attainable, and why these gentle, consistent efforts can change the way you move through your days. This is a reminder that success doesn’t have to be big or loud, it can be something you create quietly for yourself, one small step at a time. We need to remember how much control we have over our own lives and sometimes creating these moments makes all the difference.  Sponsored by: This episode is supported by my counseling and coaching practice. My work is very personal and integrative. We look at your life as a whole- your relationships, your health, your patterns, your emotions, and where you feel stuck or ready for change. It’s a space to process, gain clarity, and move forward in a way that actually feels aligned with you. If you’re interested, you can reach out to me directly to book or learn more!
