What We Focus On
We'll discuss how the topics we choose to focus on not only shape our learning but also expand and grow in significance.
We'll also delve into the importance of gratitude, reframing our experiences to see the amazing opportunities they present. Don't miss our recommendation for the Gratitude episode from the Hidden Brain podcast for further insights.
Understanding the mind's power is crucial, so we'll discuss the article "Pain is a Message: How Our Brains Try to Protect Us" from Psychology Today, emphasizing how redirection and getting someone into their cortex can be key.
We'll address the difference between nurturing and coddling, particularly in parenting. How can we balance teaching independence without enabling dependency? This topic is geared toward parents and caregivers.
Finally, we'll confront the challenges of starting brainwork and examine why we sometimes focus on pain and injury. Are we stuck in a victim mentality? What needs are being met by constantly discussing our injuries?
Join us for an enlightening conversation on harnessing the power of focus, gratitude, and the mind. -

We have all experienced a physiological reaction when we hear our phone ding, our kids ask to watch a show or feel like we've misplaced our beloved device. It's because our world circles around screens and they have snuck into every way of our being. If we don't learn how to work with it and find a healthy balance, it will overload our dopamine systems to wanting more and more with no end in sight. Without healthy boundaries around our devices, our lives fall out of balance and into dysregulation. This episode shares our take on how we can reflect on how the use of technology needs some attention and thought, So, here are some of our thoughts to start the conversation.

No Containers for Me
Re 9/04 episode: I chose not to containerize my babies to improve my attachment with them. It also helped with elimination communication. I didn’t realize I was also helping to properly develop other parts of their brains.
I love that you two are sharing this information, in easy to listen to bites, with the world.
Your are shame-free description of how and why we inhibit our babies’ development is well done.
