    Relax now and take a deep breath,
    In through your nose, into your chest.
    Feel your lungs expand within,
    Then slowly let the air out again.

    PAUSE

    Repeat this cycle in and out,
    Calming the tension, releasing the doubt.
    Relax your shoulders and your face
    Let go of worries, feel them erase. 

    PAUSE

    In,
    And out.
    Find your rhythm of calm. 
    In,
    And out.
    Let it be your peaceful song.

    Envision your mind, open and clear,
    Free of clutter, doubts and fear.
    See it now as a clear blue sky,
    A vast space expanding as you sigh.

    Notice the dark that tries to take hold,
    It prances ‘round, arrogant and bold. 
    It thinks it owns your lovely mind,
    But it can’t win when you’re aligned. 

    PAUSE

    So breathe and sink, 
    Into your rhythm of calm. 
    Breathe and be one,
    With your peaceful song.

    When clouds roll in, and block out the sun,
    When rain pours down, you think you’re done. 
    Surrender to the seasons, my friend.
    Your roots are strong, and you can bend.

    Come inside, where stillness waits,
    Where your soul talks to you and creates.

    A divine being, one with the stars.

    Self-love calls for us to take extremely good care of ourselves. And to do that, we must be clear on the answer to one big question...what do I need right now?

    Asking yourself this question regularly - especially in stressful or low moments - is a powerful way to gain clarity and connect with joy.

    It helps remove the haze of confusion that can often lead us to making poor choices that can lead to burn out, depression or bitterness. 

    So this morning’s meditation will have some brief guidance to relax you, and then will simply ask you to sit in stillness with this question.

    So go ahead and take a deep, cleansing breath in, 

    Filling your belly with air,

    And exhaling all the air out.

    Take one more deep breath in,

    Feeling the air fill up your entire body,

    And breathe it all out.

    Bring your breathing to a slow and easy rhythm,

    As you sink deeply into comfort.

    And just be here.

    PAUSE…

    Aware of the circular, calming motion of your breathing.

    Allowing any thoughts that pop up to be released with each exhale.

    PAUSE…

    Find your stillness.

    PAUSE…

    And for the next few minutes, 

    Invite yourself to sit in silence, with no judgements, no boundaries, 

    Simply being with this question…

    What do I need right now?

    LONG PAUSE…

    Bring your attention back to your breath,

    And slowly bring your hands together in front of your heart,

    Bowing your head to meet them,

    Grateful for this practice.

    You are allowed to give yourself anything you need right now.

    When your heart begins to race,

    And your head begins to spin. 

    When the hurricane of emotions,

    Blows outside and within. 

    PAUSE…

    When frustration takes hold,

    And tension tightens you up.

    Your words and your demeanor, 

    Can become really corrupt. 

    PAUSE…

    Just take a deep breath,

    At the moment you want to shout.

    Shut out the noise,

    And invite peace throughout.

    You don’t have to do,

    One more thing that brings stress.

    You don't have to complete,

    One more task on your list. 

    PAUSE…

    Your value doesn't come,

    From all the things you do.

    It’s who you are and how you love,

    So let your soul shine through. 

    PAUSE…

    Breathe and relax.

    The calm will slowly return.

    Breathe and be still.

    The storm will stop its churn.

    LONG PAUSE…

    Let your feet touch the Earth,

    Let the wind graze your skin.

    Let the sun warm your bones,

    And calm you deep within.

    PAUSE…

    Let go of the tasks,

    That dance inside your head.

    Let go of the things you think,

    Will get you far ahead. 

    LONG PAUSE…

    Come deep into this moment,

    The only you’re guaranteed.

    Surrender to the stillness,

    Everything is here that you need. 

    PAUSE…

    Breathe and relax.

    The calm is here right now. 

    Breathe and be still.

    Invite it in and allow. 

    LONG PAUSE…

    Your roots have dug in deep,

    To the dirt below your feet.

    Your branches can’t be broken,

    You’ll bend, but won’t be beat. 

    PAUSE…

    The strength that holds you up,

    Amidst the harshest storms,

    Is always here within you,

    It comes in many forms. 

    PAUSE…

    So when you feel like breaking,

    When anxiety fills you up,

    Breathe in and remember,

    To stop and fill your cup. 

    PAUSE…

    Breathe and relax.

    You’re one with the soothing calm. 

    Breathe and be still. 

    All those stresses are gone.
