Pull the "C" out of the OCD

Chris encourages listeners with the idea that they don't "have to" do compulsions, explaining that often people confuse intrusive thoughts and anxiety with compulsions. They in turn think they "can't" stop the compulsions. The clarity between them and the choice to stop compulsions makes a big difference, especially over time.

The best OCD podcast!

Chris provides such valuable information on OCD along with effective advice and treatments on how to manage it. I have learned so much from him and would not be where I am today without his podcast in addition to therapy. It’s mind blowing how much knowledge he has in OCD. I’m so grateful for the podcast.

Please don’t stop -

Seriously. I was diagnosed with OCD as a child. Therapists love to talk about my emotions and (bad) childhood as well as push me towards medication. Now, after 3.5 years on Zoloft, I tapered and quit. Last dose was 8 weeks ago, and my brain is on fire trying to adjust. OCD quickly worked its way back into my life more powerful than ever. I feel so scared and isolated and hopeless, and this - what you’re saying, what you’re reminding me of - is what I need. I don’t want to live a life on medication. Thank you.

The podcast you need to confront anxiety and OCD

I’ve been listening to this podcast off and on for the past year, especially during times when my OCD and anxiety flare up. The wisdom Chris shares on these topics is eye opening, and his strategies for mitigating unwanted thoughts and compulsions are extremely helpful. Definitely give this podcast a listen if OCD is impacting your life or the life of a loved one. Most every episode is “bite-size” at under 20 minutes and you’ll come away with at least one insight you can apply to improving your mental health.
