Each week, Brian will sit down with a new guest to talk about their favorite jobs. Fans will get to be the third wheel with their favorite stars as they learn everything they never wanted to know, and then some. If you loved The Office Deep Dive, you will truly love Off The Beat, featuring interviews with your favorite Office guest stars, TV personalities, athletes and more…

Jake Johnson
This week Brian welcomes actor, podcaster and Chicago sports fan Jake Johnson. After a deep dive into how the Bears will (or won't) sneak their way into the playoffs next year, Jake discusses his early days in the NYC sketch comedy scene, how a half-remembered urban legend became fodder for the creation of Drunk History, and how his love for absurdity influenced the growth of his character on the hit sitcom New Girl. Listen to Brian’s episode on Jake's podcast "We're Here to Help" - available now wherever you get your podcasts.

Betsy Beers
Brian’s guest today is legendary producer Betsy Beers, the genius behind shows like Scandal, Private Practice, Inventing Anna, Grey’s Anatomy, and many more. While she won’t divulge any spoilers about the new season of Bridgerton (much to Brian’s chagrin), she will recount her days of auditioning badly across America, being brutally honest with fancy people, and 23 years of partnership with Shonda Rhimes.

Jason Tartick !!
Great podcast with Jason! We love him!! ❤️❤️
Used to be good
This podcast used to be good when Brian talked about The Office. Now, the random guests are largely people that aren’t well known and there really isn’t anything special about it.
Occasionally, he will interview a cast member or comedian and associated with the show we all tuned in for and that will get me back for a listen as I periodically check to see if any guests are on from the show. Kudos for finding something else to talk about but its the same kind of podcast everyone else is doing and that is not interesting.
