063 Artists Self Knowledge Through Human Design with Bree Morrison

063 Artists Self Knowledge Through Human Design with Bree Morrison

This fortnight, Ros and Laura bring you a really enlightening interview with Bree Morrison who is a Contemporary Landscape Painter and Human Design Reader. We start off learning a little bit about Bree’s creative practice, how she approaches her artwork through an intuitive painting process. She has spent the last 5 years pursuing her career as a professional painter and has her work displayed in a number of galleries and stockists in Australia.

In this episode we dig a little deeper with Bree’s journey into art as a child and into adulthood. Then turn to her work in Human Design. For those new to this modality Bree describes this system in an easy to understand way. She describes it as a tool to understand yourself on a deeper level. Bree describes the benefit of knowing and working with your Human Design type  is allowing you to work in a more of an aligned way to your energetic blueprint and to live out what you came here to do.

We dig into the different energy types and Bree describes in general terms traits of each type. She also uses both Ros and Laura and also herself as examples as we all are different and our strategy and approach to life as a creative person looks very different according to this blueprint. If this has piqued your interest as a personal development tool - we also discuss how you can get a reading done for yourself. The links are available in the show notes.

Inspirational and fun

I love listening to Laura and Ros while I’m creating. They are a pleasant boost of energy in the studio and always leave me feeling more confident and legit as an artist by the end of the episode. I like that they talk about some of the “negative” aspects and feelings artists get, while giving little nuggets of inspiration to help artist both improve their art practice and feelings of self-worth. Thanks for inspiring me from across the globe!
