Margie F - Surrendering to and Serving a Loving God - Meeting 432

It was about 14 years ago when someone finally told Margie that she was a sex addict.  She had been caught in another adultery affair and was only willing to stop because of the fear of losing her marriage.  She went to therapy with an addiction counselor but did not enter the rooms.  Shortly after, Margie was diagnosed with cancer and thought that she was “cured.”  Little did she know that her disease was just smoldering.  In 2019 her world fell apart when her husband was diagnosed with an uncurable cancer.  Margie’s disease came back with a vengeance, and she was unable to stop this time around.  She entered the rooms with the beautiful gift of desperation and listened intently to her sponsor and began to work the steps vigorously.  Slowly, but surely the insanity began to disappear, a slow spiritual awakening was beginning, and her relationship with her God, grew so much deeper than ever before.  Margie’s love and desire to be obedient and serve Him, gives her more joy than she ever thought possible.  Not only has God restored her to Himself, He has also reconciled and restored her marriage and her relationship with her adult children. Margie says, “I am truly grateful for the steps, and for this program where I can just live one day at a time.”  Reco12 is an open-to-all addictions and afflictions organization, dedicated to exploring the common threads of the differing manifestations of alcoholism; sharing tools, and offering hope from those walking a similar path. Eric H - Step 11 - Meeting 428

This is Eric's 3rd appearance on Reco12.  His other episodes are #84 & 95, both of which are from the SA point of view.  Eric found the rooms of SA in 2020 and after working the steps recognized that he was an unrecovered SAnon, joining that fellowship in 2021.  Recently he's been attending CL-anon meetings for friends and family members affected by a loved ones' cluttering/collecting.  Prayer and meditation have been a large part of Eric's recovery journey and he's excited to share on this topic. Justin B - Step 10 - Meeting 426

Justin B from Spokane is a multi-disciplinary addict.  Sexual addiction is what brought him to his knees and sent him resistantly crawling into the rooms of recovery in September of 2013.  After a rocky start and lots of opposing the basic tenets of recovery, he finally jumped into the work and hasn’t looked back since.  Justin is the steward of the Reco12 family of recovery resources and loves writing and speaking with others about the miracles of recovery in his life.  He is so blessed that his wife of nearly 30 years is still with him, and he has 4 children and 2 grandchildren and they all put up with him.  He imperfectly experiences the line from page 108 of the Big Book, “Today most of our [people] are better [spouses and parents] than ever before.”  Today he will speak on his experience, strength, hope, and insights around Step 10.
