Amanda - The Three Legacies: Recovery, Unity, and Service - Afro-Euro - Meeting 454

My name is Amanda a joyous, free, and recovered alcoholic/addict. The first time I drank at 13 it was a problem. It led me down a dark path of intravenous drug use, violence and sex work. I was plagued by self loathing, guilt and shame which led to not only me praying i would die but also my beautiful children praying that i would die too. They wanted me to be at peace. Today is very different. I wake up full of gratitude, love and a zest for life. I finally got this miraculous programme two weeks before my 50th birthday. If i can recover anyone can.  Today Amanda speaks to us on the topic of How the Three Legacies: Recovery, Unity and Service Brought Me from Death to Life. Adam S - The First Principle of Success - Episode 449

Adam S., has been walking in the sunlight of the Spirit since his Aquarian sobriety date of January 26, 2018, living in permanent abstinence from all mind-altering substances, one day at a time. Recovery is Adam’s path of awakening, rooted in the Twelve Steps, the Big Book, a Higher Power of his own understanding, and the daily choice to align with truth instead of illusion, love instead of fear. As a grateful double winner in AA and Al-Anon, he has learned that emotional sobriety is the next frontier, and every day is Day One in the work of freedom from emotional inebriation, allowing his spirit to lead where his ego once did. Adam believes that we’re here to remember who we really are through honesty, humility, service, and conscious contact with the Divine, carrying the message through the way we live more than the words we speak. As the Big Book reminds us, “We are not cured of alcoholism. What we really have is a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of our spiritual condition.” Reco12 is an open-to-all addictions and afflictions organization, dedicated to exploring the common threads of the differing manifestations of alcoholism; sharing tools, and offering hope from those walking a similar path.
