That’s So Retrograde began the conversation when they pioneered merging wellness and pop culture back in 2015. Coined the “the Ab Fab of the new age”, hosts Elizabeth Kott and Stephanie Simbari highlight wellness trends before they hit the zeitgeist. Through speaking with thought leaders in health, beauty, astrology, cannabis and beyond, they offer their listeners a ‘choose their own adventure’ type experience on the path to building their own toolkit and finding the guru within. @soretrograde / thatssoretrograde.com

Seriously one of my fav podcasts!
I love the content these two bring to the mic! I love that they are authentic and every episode is meaningful. Definitely give this one a listen! 🔮🥰🙌🏻
Idiotic
Wow just what a mess of rambling and unintelligent speaking. Ep 58 was particularly cringey and clumsy.
Sad and Cowardly
Stephanie, it’s not “critical thinking” to not listen to science. Your views on the vaccine are privileged and ignorant. Elizabeth, listen to your fans— Do your own thing and we will watch and/or listen! We have always admired you. Some seem to feel this way about Stephanie, but she has always rubbed me the wrong way. I started listening from the beginning, and I don’t know how they lasted so long. They were sooooooo problematic. And they NEVER took accessibility issues into consideration when discussing “wellness.” Like basically, if you can’t afford to eat all organic, cold press juices, top-tier supplements, etc. you’re basically screwed and shouldn’t even bother (this was the subtext all too often). I love when they had a guest who stated that if a family never eats healthy protein, incorporating farm-raised salmon is a wonderfully positive step. This actually took accessibility into consideration, which is something they did not EVER do. And the Shaman Durek stuff. *face palm.* I could tell from his FIRST appearance on the show exactly the kind of creepy weirdo he was. WHY did the love this fraud?? And it took him saying rape victims brought it upon themselves at a live show for them to stop allowing him on the show. AND they wouldn’t even condemn what he said?? They were just like “welllll ya know we just kinda hold space for people to say whatever they want and yeah.” Like that was literally their response to him saying that. Sad and cowardly. Stephanie did this kind of thing way more than Elizabeth. This pod is entertaining, it really is, but more often than not it is a hate-listen. They weren’t as groundbreaking as they thought they were. It’s wonderful to have women’s perspectives be heard and valued, but they never took anything into consideration except for an expensive, performative, LA view on “wellness.” That being said— Elizabeth, I can’t not like you. You have so much light and if you start your own pod, show, write a book, whatever, I and many many others will support it. Also, it’s not “critical thinking” to ignore science, Stephanie. Your views on science are privileged and ignorant.
