I absolutely love this podcast and will always, always, always listen to it.
I just love the way it is. I honestly find nothing wrong with this. IT IS TOTAL PERFECTION! 😍
Broadly Narrowly Broad
The breadth of this podcast is its strength. It can make listening surprising and fresh pushing the limits of who I might normally take the time to listen to. But I have been repeatedly rewarded for it. Even if I have initially hesitated to choose a particular interview, each episode has been illuminating, and the perspectives shift the way I view our current political crisis.
And I like the tone. The first episode I listened to, I wasn’t sure. The host was so relaxed, it gave the sense that his vocal fry might be just a moment away from snoring, but oddly, in the end, aspects of that became my other favorite part. Ok, yes, the more perky episodes are preferable, but the host’s easy, conversational style brings out the best in the guests. Often, it felt like what you hope a dinner party will be — interesting, intelligent people talking about what they love.
Finally, a sort of extension of the last, he doesn’t come across as rabid himself. This was a pleasant surprise when even the name of the podcast includes “battlefield.” I am so tired of the fighting; I just want things to change, and this podcast feels like the world’s most giant toolbox for change.
Great interviewer, great stories.
A real pleasure to listen to, and very informative at the same time.
