Supervisor's Training for Dietitians [part 2] -Relationships - Client & Self

Supervisor's Training for Dietitians [part 2] -Relationships - Client & Self

    Fiona Sutherland and Lisa Pearl
Supervision Training for Dietitians - starting soon!
Beth says "Don't hesitate - trust me, you won't regret taking this training now!!"

This is Part 2 of 2 on skill development for dietitian supervisors providing supervision-from highly seasoned to just considering.
Our guests (and host) participate in lifetime supervision - it is the best connection resource for dietitians, especially those who work in behavioral health nutrition.
Focusing on our client, focusing on ourselves, focusing on the relationship of our client to ourselves.
What's the difference between supervision and consultation?
Let's face it, there is good supervision (supportive, nurturing, positively life changing for the dietitian and client) and not so good supervision (checking the boxes, feels like a money-making plan more than a relationship).
Defining the rupture - the part of us that rushes in and needs to know/needs to give the answers; how do we learn more about those parts?

LOVE the Prevention Series

The first episode of this series with Denise Hamburger was so inspiring. I work in higher education as a registered dietitian and have done several talks on intuitive eating to multiple classes. The word has spread and I get invited by more and more professors to speak each semester. I applied to participate in annual event to teach teachers on the topic and accepted. This episode has given me some great ideas to bring to the conversation. I hope to mirror Denise’s mission on the East coast! Thank you all for the work that you do. It is so helpful!!!

Best podcast for practitioners

I absolutely LOVE this podcast. It is so helpful to have a podcast specifically for people who work in the field of eating disorders. I have learned so much from the guests on the podcasts. I always have to have a paper and pen with me so that I can make notes on what I am learning. SO HELPFUL!!! Thank you for this podcast!
