Is social media ruining the holidays for women?
From pressure to create the perfect holiday scene for family, or the most over-the-top instagram post for “the internet,” the holidays can be a stressful time. As usual, gendered labor like cooking, presents, and kin-making most often falls to women and moms. Love the podcast, too many ad breaks
I understand that podcasters have to make money off what is an almost entirely free medium, but the ads are so close together that it ends up lacking a narrative flow. I’m no producer, but maybe space them out a bit more. I love this podcast, it’s so important, and the host is a so insightful and deserves to be heard, especially in a genre that has neglected Black women.
