How to Manage a Slip Up in Sobriety
Hey there! I hope you are well and enjoying Spring in your area.
Join me in episode 202 as I talk about why a slip-up in sobriety is an opportunity to get back up and start again, but not until you do one thing: figure out why you slipped so you don’t repeat the same cycle next time.
My hope is that after you’ve listened to this episode, you reassure yourself, that another day one is an opportunity, not an obstacle.
Thank you for listening.

When Your Work Makes You Want to Drink
Episode 201 Hey there, friend! I know what it's like to escape work stress and anxiety by drinking. I used alcohol heavily for decades because of one career in particular which I'm talking about in this episode.
I share my work history, my drinking history, and how alcohol never helped me escape anything.
I want to share this episode with you to offer you support and a place to come back to when you feel like your work is too much to handle, and drinking seems like the only option.
There are other so many other options.

How to Create a Practical Affirmation Practice
Today, I’m giving you a virtual fist bump because we are about to raise the roof on our vibrations and have some fun with practical affirmations!
I’m talking about exploring your thoughts and beliefs and finding what you want to focus on and creating an affirmation that supports that desire instead of working against yourself by repeating the same negative, disserving thoughts over and over.
I’m also talking about afformations which are positive and empowering questions you can ask yourself to help "pull out" your truth!
This is a fun episode to help boost your mood and maybe inspire you to create your own affirmations today.

Lori is real, kind, smart and a GREAT resource for those interested in sobriety.
I was recently a guest on Lori’s podcast and as I prepared to my conversation with her, I binge-listened to previous episodes. I’ve been sober 17-plus years and I learn at least one thing from every single show. She is the real deal and you can tell immediately that she spends time preparing for her shows. She’s professional, well-informed, and deeply committed to helping the sober-curious learn more about the benefits of sobriety in midlife, while also offering plenty of great content for those who found their way to sobriety and now want to enhance their lives going forward. Each time I listen, I end up sharing the episode with a handful of people. I’m honored to have been a guest and anxiously await the day when my episode drops. In the meantime, I’ll continue to listen to the shows I’ve missed in the past. Keep serving the sober and sober-curious community, Lori! You’re a light. —Michelle Cox, Addicts to Authors©, Author Accelerator Certified Book Coach
Helpful beyond giving up alcohol
Today I hit 90 days without alcohol after multiple day ones over the last 5-6 years. I have tried so many ways to stop but honestly sober IG accounts and podcasts were what worked for me. I love Lori’s content and how it addresses more than just giving up alcohol. She wants us to live our best lives as we age (I’m 57) and I am so appreciative.
Lori’s podcast consistently speaks to me. Substantive, entertaining, and educational. This podcast is just what I’ve been looking for to help support my sober journey.
