Those little hits of dopamine we get – whether it’s from a bite of chocolate, or seeing “likes” on our social media posts, or that nightly glass of wine – all add up to what feels like pleasure. What’s really unclear to us is that we all then feel an equal or greater amount of pain or discomfort. And when we keep going back to the same things for those dopamine hits, we find they don’t “work” as well. I just recently started listening to this podcast and i actually make excuses to go walking by myself just to listen! ❤️
Rekindled my love of learning for the sake of learning!
I am an educator, so teaching and learning are part of the fabric of my life. However, because I spend so much time learning for professional purposes and for specific purposes and outcomes, I rarely take the opportunity to learn just because. That has changed with Carolyn’s podcast! I LOVE to walk, and with the addition of Carolyn’s voice, talking pace, quirky sense of humor and her guests’ content, I am learning while walking! I am doing two things that I love simultaneously! And, the added benefit that I am learning about health related topics-“in the broadest sense of the word” to quote Carolyn-I most often find something relevant and timely to my own life. I HIGHLY recommend this podcast!
Very informative and understandable
I’ve just started walking daily for 3-4 miles. I was looking for something to add education and information while walking so I didn’t get bored with it. I listened to a couple other wellness podcasts and to be honest, they just gave me anxiety. They talked to fast and over each other. I find these podcasts, informative, relaxing, motivating and fun. Thanks, keep up the good work, you are appreciated 🥰
