Wie radikal ist die Frage nach bezahlbarem Wohnen? Mit Sebastian Kurtenbach

Die soziale Frage, die Sorge, die Rechnungen nicht mehr bezahlen zu können hat die Landtagswahlen im September entschieden. In Berlin war die zentrale Frage die, nach bezahlbarem Wohnraum. Dort ist ein deutschlandweites Problem besonders ausgeprägt. Mehrere Analysen zeigen, dass die Mieten steigen und bundesweit etwa 1,4 Millionen Wohnungen fehlen. Auch der Wohnungsneubau verläuft schleppend. Die Linke in Berlin setzte im Wahlkampf auf die Vergesellschaftung von Wohnungen, um Mietwucher zu verhindern und könnte tatsächlich künftig die Regierende Bürgermeisterin stellen. Zu teuer und ein schlechtes Signal an Investoren, meint Bundeskanzler Merz. Seine Regierung arbeite derzeit an einem Gesetz, das die Vergesellschaftung verbieten soll. In dieser Folge spricht Anne Will mit dem Sozialwissenschaftler Sebastian Kurtenbach von der Fachhochschule Münster. Er hat gerade ein Buch veröffentlicht, in dem er mit seinem Mitautoren diskutiert, wie die Wohnkrise unsere Demokratie gefährdet und was wir dagegen tun können. The High Schools Going All-In on AI

A 2024 survey found that 90% of high-schoolers in Estonia were already using generative AI for learning. So, the northern European country decided to lean in. In an experiment called AI Leap, the country has partnered with OpenAI and Google to give tens of thousands of high-schoolers access to free chatbots.
