Meditation: Resting in Reality (24 min)

This guided practice awakens attention to sensations, sounds, space and aliveness, and encourages a continued "relaxing open" from thoughts into the living stream of experience. We are learning to recognize and rest in the moment to moment flow, "being reality," at home in what we are.   Our introduction music is from "Opening" by Adrienne Torf, © 2025 ABT Music

    Paul’s Detour

As we find ourselves discouraged with our circumstances in life, we usually react in one of three ways. We might harden ourselves by saying life is unfair and we should get used to it, we might be overcome by despair, or we might simply believe everything will get better for us soon. The apostle Paul shows us there’s a better way to deal with discouragement. Even as he writes from prison, he explains how our suffering can’t compare to the gifts God has given us—and how it can deepen our appreciation of how Christ suffered for us.  Let’s examine how 1) hardship is inevitable for Christians, but 2) our hope in Christ gives us a remarkable motivation to persevere through it. This sermon was preached by Dr. Timothy Keller at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on August 15, 1993. Series: Salvation From the Outside In. Scripture: Ephesians 3:1-12. Today's podcast is brought to you by Gospel in Life, the site for all sermons, books, study guides and resources from Timothy Keller and Redeemer Presbyterian Church. The Biggest THREAT to Christianity is Happening RIGHT NOW (ft. Philip Anthony Mitchell) | Live Free with Josh Howerton

What does it look like to contend for your faith when culture is shifting, pressure is rising, and following Jesus may cost you something? Pastor Josh Howerton sits down with Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell for a raw and deeply personal conversation about Philip’s journey from the streets of Queens and Rikers Island to surrendering his life to Christ and eventually becoming a pastor. Philip shares how God transformed his life, shaped his preaching, and taught him that faithfulness—not platform, influence, or recognition—is the true measure of ministry. The conversation also turns to some of today’s most controversial issues as Josh and Philip discuss biblical authority, spiritual deception, Islam, politics, persecution, end-times theology, and why they believe Christians must contend for biblical truth. Through it all, Philip challenges believers to reject apathy and faithfully represent Christ wherever God has placed them. In this episode: Philip Anthony Mitchell’s powerful testimony of coming to Christ Why faithful ministry often begins in obscurity Why Philip preaches with such urgency What it means to “contend for the faith” Biblical authority in an age of spiritual confusion Josh and Philip’s concerns about Islam, religious freedom, and cultural change Their perspective on end-times prophecy and the return of Christ How to remain faithful through criticism and opposition Why your mission field is wherever God has placed you Stand firm. The Wise Heart of Radical Acceptance

What would your life be like if you were no longer at war with your imperfections? In this talk, Tara explores Radical Acceptance as a pathway out of self-judgment, shame and the trance of unworthiness. Rather than believing that acceptance will keep us from changing, we discover the opposite: when we stop making ourselves wrong for what we feel and who we are, we create the conditions for genuine healing and transformation. Through stories, reflection and the practice of RAIN, Tara explores how we can meet our imperfect, conditioned selves with honesty and compassion while remembering the deeper goodness that is our true nature. Radical Acceptance doesn't mean becoming passive or ignoring harmful patterns—it allows us to respond to ourselves, others and our world from greater wisdom, clarity and love. In this talk: ✨ Making peace with our imperfections ✨ Healing self-judgment and the trance of unworthiness ✨ Understanding Radical Acceptance as a path to change ✨ Using RAIN to meet shame, anger and difficult emotions ✨ Remembering and trusting our basic goodness   Our introduction music is from "Opening" by Adrienne Torf, © 2025 ABT Music

10: Colour Expert: What Your Clothes Are Subconsciously Attracting | Kate Harrison

This week, Matt & Corisande sit down with Kate Harrison, the UK's leading colour therapist and founder of ChroME, whose relationship with colour started long before she spent 20 years as a stylist working with names like Armani, Selfridges and Marks & Spencer, and fronting her own TV show.     After training in traditional colour analysis, Kate went looking for something deeper, and found an advanced diploma in chroma therapy that changed the direction of her career entirely, leading her to pioneer the concept of the "Soul Shade": the one colour that reflects a person's energy, and the tool she now uses with everyone from private clients to corporate teams. They get into the "grey period" Kate went through when she and her husband lost their business and she stopped opening the curtains, the bright yellow jacket she wore to walk back into a room and relaunch it, and how a yellow vision board helped manifest a booking with the Happy Place festival.     Kate also shares why she and her husband, a green and a red, balance each other out, the colour work she's done for Chris Evans' CarFest sponsors, and what it really means to trust your instincts enough to "colour outside the lines."     Matt & Corisande, with Kate Harrison, discuss:  Growing up with an art teacher for a dad, and the 20 years Kate spent as a stylist working with the likes of Armani, Selfridges and Marks & SpencerFronting her own TV show before training in an advanced diploma in chroma therapy that changed the direction of her whole careerWhat a "Soul Shade" actually is, and how it differs from simply knowing which colours suit your skin toneThe "grey period" Kate went through when she and her husband lost their business, and the bright yellow jacket she wore to relaunch itWhy Kate (a green) and her husband (a red) balance each other out, and how "magnetic pairing" works with complementary coloursManifesting a booking with the Happy Place festival through a yellow vision board, and the colour coaching Kate's done for corporates including Chris Evans' CarFest sponsors Chapters 00:00:00 Trailer   00:01:32 Intro to Kate Harrison   00:03:06 Kate's Path Into Colour: An Art Teacher Dad and 20 Years as a Stylist   00:04:37 Working With Armani, Selfridges and Marks & Spencer   00:06:18 Fronting Her Own TV Show   00:08:12 Finding Chroma Therapy and Retraining   00:12:27 Introducing the Soul Shade   00:18:33 Colour Coaching for Corporates and Personal Branding   00:24:41 Preparing to Take the Stage for Her TEDx Talk   00:33:54 Losing Their Business, the Grey Period and the Yellow Jacket Relaunch   00:37:37 Join the Beyond Community   00:41:16 The Grey Period After Postnatal Depression   00:49:06 Magnetic Pairing and Complementary Colours   00:53:43 Colour Coaching for Chris Evans' CarFest Sponsors   00:58:00 Green and Red: Kate and Her Husband's Soul Shades   01:02:48 Barcelona Event   01:04:23 Manifesting a Booking With Happy Place Through a Yellow Vision Board   01:23:37 What Does "Beyond" Mean to Kate?   01:24:25 Where to Find Kate   About Kate Harrison Kate Harrison is the UK's leading colour therapist and the founder of ChroME, a colour therapy and wellbeing brand. After 20 years working as a stylist for names including Armani, Selfridges and Marks & Spencer, and fronting her own TV show, Kate retrained with an advanced diploma in chroma therapy and went on to pioneer the "Soul Shade": a personalised colour prescription built around a person's energy. She now works with private clients and corporate teams on colour, confidence and personal branding, and has spoken on the subject at TEDxWarrington.    Visit ChroME (including the free Colour Selector tool and Soul Shade quiz): https://chro-me.co.uk/ Follow Kate on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/katethecolour/ Follow Kate on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@katethecolour About Matt & Corisande Cooke Matt is a manifestation coach, researcher, speaker and the author of Beyond Wanting: The Art of True Manifestation. For years, he has explored the intersection of manifestation, consciousness and the quantum world, helping people understand how to work with their thoughts, emotions and intentions to create their future. Corisande is a creative director with a deeply intuitive approach to life and business. Through meditation, she often experiences remarkably vivid glimpses of what’s ahead, seeing ideas, spaces and possibilities in extraordinary detail, sometimes long before they become reality. • A Buddhist Monk on Why Life Feels Pointless – But Isn’t!

A Buddhist Monk on Why Life Feels Pointless – But Isn’t!

In today’s episode, Gen Rabten explores one of the biggest questions we can ask about our lives: what is the point? He explains how modern life can leave us feeling increasingly purposeless, whether through anxiety about the future, the pressure to achieve success, changing ideas about work and wealth, or the realization that the things we thought would make us happy often fail to provide lasting fulfilment. Drawing on the teachings of Buddha and the wisdom of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, he examines why we can become trapped in repeatedly chasing temporary sources of happiness while overlooking the deeper sources of peace within our own mind. Referencing The New Eight Steps to Happiness and How to Understand the Mind, he explores how wisdom, compassion, kindness, and training the mind can give our lives a genuine sense of meaning. The conversation also considers how we can make a difference in the world by changing the way we respond to conflict, difficulty, and the people around us. Ultimately, this episode offers a powerful perspective on finding purpose not through what we achieve or acquire, but through developing inner peace and using our life to benefit others. 00:00 The Search for Life’s Meaning

    New challenges. New leaders.

What does faithful leadership look like when the crises stop being background noise and start hitting people's bank accounts, job prospects, and sense of the future? Mark and Daniel explore why this moment calls for something more than relevance or self-help Christianity—and why God may have placed this generation of leaders here specifically to prepare those who will build what comes after.➡️ For subscriber chats and resources, head to rebuilders.co
