    We girl math-ed too close to the sun, and we’re not too proud. It’s been years since Danny had a job with a steady pay check, and now that she does, she finds herself buying small things here and there with reckless abandon. $20 doesn’t seem very expensive, until you’ve made so many $20 purchases in a month that you can’t account for where your money is going anymore.     Ep. 649: It's Not a Woman's Job to Fix Men

    Why is it always that when a man acts s****y, it becomes a woman’s job to fix it? And we get the added bonus of being called “too sensitive” or a nag when we do! In case you missed it, comedian Shane Gillis (though he’s not really funny enough to be called a comedian) recently made a “joke” about women being “whores” for wearing shorts to the gym. Plenty of women took the time to explain why that comment perpetuates rape culture, and men everywhere blamed all of us for not being able to “take a joke.” Insert eye roll here. For too damn long, it’s been though to be a woman’s job to “fix” men, but they seem hesitant to it and we only get shamed more for trying. We’re over it.     Ep. 648: A Perspective Reset

    Ep. 647: Perfectly Timed Appendicitis

    It’s been an eventful week. Hot off a big launch in her business, Jill jumped right into a brand new endeavor: getting appendicitis. In less than 24 hours, she went from closing cart to full abdominal surgery. Thankfully, everything worked out fine and Jill is doing her best to recover—which may or may not include lifting heavy weights—but this turn of events got us thinking… did this happen because The Big Guy Upstairs wanted Jill to slow down? Or maybe because she hasn’t been praying enough? Whatever the true reason, it’s clearly Jill’s fault, and not at all something normal that happens to plenty of people every year.     Ep. 645: Men's Biggest Ick For Women

    If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s this: men on the internet need to shut up. With every new day, there’s a new man online spewing nonsense and we wanted to chat about one such Instagram Man complaining about women who are “bad at receiving.” Cue the eye-rolls. Anyone who has been a woman for longer than 10 seconds knows that men rarely give without expecting something in return. Knowing that any good deed done for us most likely comes with strings attached has made it pretty difficult to be okay with being on the receiving end of anything.     Ep. 643: Crying for Attention on the Internet

    We love a good, cathartic cry as much as the next person, but when it comes to filming ourselves crying and posting it online for the world to see… we’re not sold. Sharing vulnerably is an important part of building a personal brand, but at some point, the vulnerability can become forced, and even manipulative at its worst. Look, we’d be lying if we said we’ve never filmed ourselves crying, but filming yourself doesn’t have to lead to making content out of it. On the other hand, you can’t please everyone.
