The Truth About Friendship Breakups as an Adult

Friendship breakups can hurt just as deeply as romantic breakups—but we don't always talk about them that way. When a friendship ends, there often isn't a clear breakup conversation, closure, or even an acknowledgment that you're grieving. Sometimes a friendship ends after a betrayal or a major conflict. Other times, you simply realize that the relationship no longer brings peace into your life. And when it's someone you thought would be in your life forever, losing a friend can leave a surprisingly deep emotional impact. In this episode, Amy talks honestly about friendship breakups, losing longtime friends, and what it really takes to heal when an important friendship comes to an end. She shares personal stories of friendship breakups throughout her life—from teenage friendships to complicated adult friendships and friendships that became tangled with business—and explores why some endings can feel so much like a divorce. 4 Things I Wish I Knew in My 30s

In this solo episode, I share four powerful truths I wish had understood in my 30s—lessons about people-pleasing, self-worth, self-abandonment, and living authentically. Through personal stories from marriage, motherhood, loss, and personal growth, I explore how letting go of external expectations can lead to a more fulfilling, confident life. Whether you're in your 30s, 40s, 50s, or beyond, these reflections offer gentle reminders that growth happens in its own time—and that becoming more of yourself is always worth it. In this episode, you'll learn: - Why it's okay to take up more space and stop shrinking yourself for others - How people-pleasing often disguises itself as being "a lady" - Why your worth isn't determined by what you "bring to the table" - What self-abandonment really looks like in everyday life- How to recognize when you're compromising your authentic self- Why trusting yourself is essential for personal growth- The importance of giving yourself grace throughout every season of life Timestamps 00:00 – Introduction 01:20 – It's Okay to Be More 08:10 – There Is No Table 15:05 – Understanding Self-Abandonment 24:45 – Learning to Trust Yourself 35:40 – Don't Compromise Who You Are 44:30 – Giving Yourself Grace Please remember to rate, review, and follow the show – and share with a friend! Rebuilding My Life After Divorce

Yes, you can survive divorce. I did- not once, but twice. Healing after divorce is hard enough the first time, but I was 45 when I filed the second time, and here I share the full emotional truth of what that was like: throwing the papers across the table at the attorney's office, feeling ashamed, financially scared, and invisible as a woman. It's about that shame of feeling like the family black sheep, the guilt of raising kids through divorce, the darkness that followed, and the moment I looked at a photo of myself out with friends, not smiling in a single shot!, and decided that was not who I was going to become. This episode is also about what turns the corner on healing after divorce. I walk us through exactly how I started to crawl out: saying yes to things outside of my comfort zone. It's about honest, radical responsibility and the truth I had to face about not loving myself and not speaking up for myself, both in marriage and in life. Why You Feel Anxious About Money— Even When You Have Enough

Lucy Samkian is a money coach for women, a former corporate finance leader with 28 years of experience, and the creator of the Money Mirror Archetypes — a framework that reveals how your childhood, culture, and lineage shape your relationship with wealth and the quiet financial blocks running your life.If you have ever felt shame, guilt, or fear around your finances — or a nagging sense that no matter how much you earn it will never be enough — this episode is for you. Lucy grew up watching her mom raise three girls on very little, and she decided as a young girl she would become one of the wealthy ones. She built a corporate career, hit her first million through investing, and then had the reckoning that changed everything: the wealth was there, but the anxiety wasn't gone. That launched her real work — helping women rewrite their money story, heal their money identity, and build both external and internal safety. Lucy walks us through:- Why money is a mirror to everything, why it can actually be a healing modality- Why so many women stay stuck in "manufactured scarcity" even when the resources are objectively there. - Five Money Mirror Archetypes - Why keeping too much sitting in a savings account is actually a scarcity move - The order of operations if you're starting from zero- How to stop letting fear-based news run your investing decisions.- The shame of sharing your net worth- Why normalizing these conversations changes everything for women in midlife.Connect with Lucy:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lucrativelifelucyWebsite: https://lucrativelifewithlucy.com/
